After years of hearing sexuality educators complain that the 17 session evidence-based Reducing the Risk (RTR) curriculum for high school students takes too long, we figured out how we could shorten it (and make it more engaging!). We used the "flipped classroom" approach to allow the youth to complete almost half of the content online at their convenience. The content that needs teacher facilitation (role plays, discussions, etc.) stayed in the classroom. Learn how we "flipped" the curriculum and used a blended approach to engage the youth. Were we able to get youth to complete the out of class online assignments? Findings from two pilot studies of the intervention will be shared.
