This document provides instructions and assignments for English class. It discusses reviewing topics and context clues. Students are assigned to read chapters from two books, Freedom Writers and The Blind Side, for literature circles. They are also to annotate chapter 4 of Drive and complete a vocabulary assignment for homework. Context clue practice will take place in the learning lab after a break.

Today when we go to the lab you will be
working on context clues.
Please go through the assignments slowly.
Last night students completed the context
clues in less than an hour; however, the
grades were very low, so take your time,

The first literature circle will be on 9/16/13.
Take out your literature circle assignments
and find the other people within your
“circle.”
Give your group a name, and make
