This document proposes generating electricity from waste heat from gas stoves using thermocouples. A thermocouple generates voltage when one end is heated and the other remains cool, utilizing the temperature difference. The design uses an array of thermocouples connected to a DC-DC converter to increase the voltage and charge a battery. This would allow lighting two CFL bulbs for 6-8 hours using wasted heat from cooking. Implementing this solution in 100 households could save enough energy to power three additional homes and reduce electricity bills while helping address energy crises with low capital costs.
