What is energy?
Energy is the ability to do work or
cause change and there are
different types of it.
Types of energy.
As I said there are different types of energy,
but the most important types are kinetic
energy and potential energy but also exists
the electrical energy, nuclear, chemical,
etc.
Kinetic energy.
The kinetic energy is the energy
related to motion and the
formula to calculate it is:

Potential energy.
The potential energy is the energy that at
any time can be realased and transform
into kinetic energy, we can use both using
Newton’s law of conservation of energy.
Newtons law of conservation
of energy.
In this law Newton said that the energy is
not created or destroyed, only transformed,
this is important to know to get more
knowledge about how the solar panels,
motion, bateries and other things work and
HOW they TRANSFORME energy.
Chemical Energy.
The chemical energy is found in the
food that we eat, this energy is
transformed in many different types
of energy like kinetic energy (Motion),
potential etc.
Thermal Energy.
The thermal energy is the energy
related with heat, we all have it,
transform it and pass it to other things
like when you touch an ice cube.
Nuclear.
The nuclear energy is the energy
obtained with nucleous of the
atom by fusion or fission.

  • 1. What is energy? Energy is the ability to do work or cause change and there are different types of it.
  • 2. Types of energy. As I said there are different types of energy, but the most important types are kinetic energy and potential energy but also exists the electrical energy, nuclear, chemical, etc.
  • 3. Kinetic energy. The kinetic energy is the energy related to motion and the formula to calculate it is: 1/2Mass*Speed’2
  • 4. Potential energy. The potential energy is the energy that at any time can be realased and transform into kinetic energy, we can use both using Newton’s law of conservation of energy.
  • 5. Newtons law of conservation of energy. In this law Newton said that the energy is not created or destroyed, only transformed, this is important to know to get more knowledge about how the solar panels, motion, bateries and other things work and HOW they TRANSFORME energy.
  • 6. Chemical Energy. The chemical energy is found in the food that we eat, this energy is transformed in many different types of energy like kinetic energy (Motion), potential etc.
  • 7. Thermal Energy. The thermal energy is the energy related with heat, we all have it, transform it and pass it to other things like when you touch an ice cube.
  • 8. Nuclear. The nuclear energy is the energy obtained with nucleous of the atom by fusion or fission.
