A PISP (Payment Initiation Service Provider) is a regulated actor under PSD2 who has been granted permission to request consent from a consumer to connect to their bank account and initiate payments or transfers on their behalf. Open Banking API specifications support Payment Initiation Services (PIS)
that enable a PISP to initiate a payment order, with the PSU's explicit consent, from their online payment account held at their ASPSP. The PISP is then further able to retrieve the status of a payment order.
This deck covers the different payment types, API resources, the PISP Flow, multi authorization, cut-off date time, payment restrictions, integrating with the bank backend, and release management.

BASE24 classic is a rock-solid system for processing ATM and credit card transactions. However, the technology behind BASE24 is decades old and for that reason BASE24 classic does not well integrate into modern Interprise IT environments, also there are shortcomings in compliance areas.
This presentations shows how BASE24 classic can easily be modernized - without having to touch any source code file and thus keeping the "Kernel" unchanged.

What is Host Card Emulation (HCE)?
Android KitKat 4.4 enables NFC-based transactions through host card emulation (HCE).
First, what is card emulation?
Card emulation allows a mobile device to mimic a payment card.
In essence, the device becomes a contactless card.
This card can be used to make purchases, display tickets and present identification.
It transmits the data received from the terminal between the NFC device to the secure element (SE).
The physical SE is embedded in the phone or contained within the SIM card/ UICC.
However, using a physical SE for mobile payments has its downsides:
1. Complex business models are required to gain access.
2. This creates dependencies that make it complex and expensive to interact.
3. Application issuers need agreements with SE issuers who need to connect with the mobile handsets.
4. Limited storage capacity of the SE and processing speed.
HCE enables the SE to be placed in a hosted cloud environment, rather than the mobile device.
Service providers can take control of their applications by insourcing an SE in the Cloud platform:
1. It eases the use of NFC mobile payment services.
2. Application issuers can provision their apps directly to the device without third party intervention.
3. It shortens the value chain as fewer parties need to be involved, lowering provisioning costs.
4. Direct access to the SE enables instant fraud detection and allows immediate blocking on apps.
5. Greater processing power and storage capacity that enables more advanced risk management.
6. Without intermediaries the gap between application issuers and consumers becomes smaller.
This results in consistent brand and user experience across all NFC services.

Context: The missing ingredient in multilingual software translationNetcetera
Take a look at how automated end-to-end tests can be involved to support and speed up the software translation process. Mirjana’s quest at Selenium Conf 2018 in Chicago is to show you with examples how to feel the content and, in the same time, also feel the context of that content.
An important phase in multilingual software systems is text translation. Since same text may be used in different contexts, it is difficult to determine whether the translation is proper in the context of the environment in which the text is used. Sharing only text keys and values with translators usually is not enough. Simple screenshots showing only the text content, also didn't help in situations where text keys were re-used on multiple places, or when there are highly generic templates. This presentation contains an efficient automated way of delivering the necessary artifacts to translation experts. These artefacts contain text keys, text values and also the context where they are used.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
