This document summarizes a presentation on embedded librarianship and gamification in libraries given by Plamen Miltenoff at New Bulgarian University. The presentation introduced the concept of embedded librarianship and provided working definitions. Examples of embedded librarianship programs in the US were discussed. The presentation also explored what constitutes embedded librarianship, how experimentation can help or hinder its development, and the use of technologies like course management systems and e-conferencing tools. Different approaches to content like information literacy and multiliteracies were compared. Sources of further information on embedded librarianship, qualifications, and instructional design were provided.
