This document summarizes Macalester College's efforts to provide low-cost or no-cost professional development opportunities for faculty through collaboration with other local colleges and institutions. It describes how Macalester organized an instructional technology symposium with 11 other colleges that was well-received. The event increased collaboration between institutions and connected them with larger professional networks. It also lists other existing Minnesota higher education collaboration events.
