Electromagnets are objects that act like magnets when an electrical current passes through them. Unlike permanent magnets, electromagnets only work when electricity is flowing through them. Electromagnets can be made stronger by adding more coils of wire and increasing the electrical current flowing through the coils. The document provides links to videos that explain how to build an electromagnet and examples of how electromagnets are used in MRI machines and doorbells.
