The Wasco oil field produces mainly from the Oligocene Vedder Formation and Eocene
sandstones within the Kreyenhagen Formation in the San Joaquin basin, California. The Vedder
and Kreyenhagen sandstones in the Wasco oil field consist of fine to coarse grain, very poor to
well sorted, angular to sub round, arkosic arenites. Porosity development in these deeply buried
sandstones was significantly affected by compaction, dissolution of framework grains, and
precipitation of authigenic minerals. These diagenetic processes controlled the quality of the
Vedder and Kreyenhagen sandstone reservoirs. The data and interpretation for this study were
based upon a detailed petrographic examination of sixty (60) thin sections prepared from the core
samples of the Kreyenhagen and Vedder sands from Mushrush wells 1, 2, and 5 of the Wasco oil
field, California, and supplemented by textural and chemical analyses of twelve thin sections
obtained using the scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive x ray
spectrophotometer (EDS). The thin sections were studied to establish the mineralogical,
compositional, and textural properties of the Vedder and Kreyenhagen sandstones. The data
collected were used to determine the diagenetic paragenesis including porosity development of the
Vedder and Kreyenhagen sandstones of the Wasco oil field.

evidence that suggests homework has no affect on learning and in many cases is counter
productive. Homework causes many conflicts within families and is in many households left to the
parents and not the students. The evidence of homework being a good thing is outweighed by the

Remodeling, is when the bone cells dissolve (osteoclasts) and new bone cells grow back

There are two types of risk factors that increases the likelihood of developing osteoporosis. The

modifiable risk factors are poor nutrition, vitamin D deficiency, insufficient exercise, low dietary

One might imagine, what could truly constitute A brave new world? What parameters must that
world fall within? What decisive mind is manning the ship headed toward this utopia? Certainly,
this world has seen innumerous attempts, heard the many strident voices, which barreled forth and
propelled society toward that image. One of those voices belonged to Sigmund Freud, the father of
psychoanalysis, and even, perhaps, a deity of this brave new world.
Sigmund Freud was born May 6th, 1856, in Frieberg, Moravia to a textile dealer named Jacob
Freud (Chiriac, Jean, Sigmund Freud s Childhood ). He was one of eight children, five sisters and
three brothers. The family lived in Frieberg until Sigmund was four years old, when the family
then moved to Vienna where Sigmund would remain for the vast majority of his life. By 1873,
Freud would go on to study medicine at the University of Vienna. Freud went get engaged in 1882,
