system
• Produce by endocrine glands, actually they are body chemical messengers, send signals into bloodstream
and tissue, they work slowly and perform different function(Nita, at el.2020)
• Metabolism
• Homeostasis
• Growth and development
• Reproduction
• Sleeps-awake cycle
• Mood changes
• Response to injury

Production of Hormones
1. Our body fight again many diseases everyday, due to the results
of production of antibodies against these pathogens and protect
the body against diseases.
2. Immune cells are polyproducers and polyrecevier.
3. You can’t ignore a hormonal imbalancement in your body if
your immune system is not working properly
4. Your immune system is just because of balance of your
hormones sectrection, balanced hormones is key to healthy
immunity and weak immune system can be a sign of hormonal
imbalancement in your body(Carter,et al.2020)
Your body natural defense
system is called your body

Hormones and immunity concerns
A disease in which your body can’t make the difference between your own cells and foreign cells,
causing the body to mistakenly attack normal cells”

then 80 type of
autoamine disease just

LYMPHOCYTES
• Definition:
A lymphocyte is a type
of white blood cell that
is a part of immune
system
B cells
They produce antibodies
that are used to attack
invading microorganisms
which cause diseased
T cells
It is directly involved in
destroying infected host
cells, producing cytokines,
activating other immune
cells and in regulating
immune response.
Fig-4 Lymphocytes
https://byjus.com/nee
t/lymphocytes/
• The thymus makes white blood cells called T
lymphocytes. These are also called T cells. These
are an important part of the body’s immune
system, which helps to fight infection(Al-
kuraishy,et al.2022)
• And the thymus produces and secretes thymosin,
it’s a hormone necessary for T cell development
and production.

• As we know that estrogen has a strong effect on the
immune system. When levels are high, the immune
system is more likely to trend towards an autoimmune
conditions .This is because estrogen tends to push
immune system signals towards autoimmunity through
stimulation of antibodies(Rahman,et all.2021).
• One way that estrogens influence adaptive immunity is
by impacting levels of circulating antibodies.

ROLE OF PROGESTERONE IN IMMUNE SYSTEM
Progesterone cools the inflammatory
response, activates anti-inflammatory
T-cells, and tells your mucosal cells to
focus on repair. When progesterone
dips too low, your body can
experience a relative estrogen
dominance, pushing your immune
system into overdrive(D.wing,at
all.2020)

Estrogen and strong immunity in females

Estrogen vs
immunity

le-effects
Anti inflammatory action means that
both estrogen and progesterone has
opposite effect on body , Estrogen
promote inflammation and
progesterone reduce inflammation
When progesterone dips too low,
your body can experience a relative
estrogen dominance, pushing your
immune system into overdrive,
autoimmune territory( )
Anti inflammatory action and
goldilocks hormonal ranges
Maintaining a healthy balance between
estrogen and progesterone production is
crucial for keeping your immunity in its
goldilocks range — not too weak and
not too strong.
Oxytocin
Oxytocin receptors also play a part
in lowering chronic inflammation,
promoting wound healing,
increasing immune defenses, and
even enhancing the function of
antibiotics(Vehlen,et al 2023).
Love or happy
Hormone
Also called as love or happy hormone, which can Want to know another
great way to boost oxytocin? . Yep, sex can actually help your immune
system(. )
As oxytocin is associated with trust, sexual arousal and relationship
building, it’s sometimes referred to as the “love hormone” or “cuddle
chemical. Fig-9 Love hormones

Serotonin regulates inflammation and
immunity by acting on serotonin
receptors that are differentially
expressed on immune cells, both in
rodents and humans. Serotonin acts
as a potent chemoattractant,
recruiting innate immune cells to
sites of inflammation.Can also affect
your digestion, sleep, inflammation,
and immune system.
