. In the Namibian educational environment during COVID-19 many schools were affected as a result of
COVID-19 such as primary school, secondary school, as well as tertiary institutions experiencing challenges of
eLearning platform usage as a means of facilitating teaching and learning among learners and students as most
of them have to adapt to the new environment of the online platform. However, despite some schools had adopted
and implemented eLearning the study discovered that many schools including universities do not fully utilize the
platform implemented in their schools and as such many schools have been struggling to adapt to the new environment of online learning
This book is basically a manual guide book that guides readers to use the many Google applications for education, especially in the teaching and learning process. In this era of advanced technology, the ‘chalk and talk’ method whereby the teacher is the one holding he chalk and writing notes on the board while students taking it down is not really effective anymore as it does not appeal to the needs and wants of today’s modern day children. Children these days are so immersed in the advancement of technology that it becomes a golden opportunity for the teachers to use that passion and redirect it towards teaching and learning process. However, not all teachers are well versed with the technological advancement that can be implemented in the teaching and learning process these days.

Online Learning Conveniences From Students’ Perception: A Case Study in Unive...inventionjournals
ABSTARCT : Convenience is one aspect that should be considered in an online learning environment. Without convenience it is very impossible to implement successfully online learning particularly in higher learning institution. The purpose of this study was to explore the online learning conveniences from students’ perception. A cohort of 61 science physics students from School of Science and Technology (SST) and 41 pre-service science teachers from the School of Education and Social Development (SESD) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia comprised the sample. The course involved is Modern Physics which is compulsory. Both groups were supported via an online learning environment, which acted as the main medium for learning. Participants’ perception on conveniences was recorded through an open-ended questionnaire and focus group interview. The output of these qualitative data can be categorised into several themes, as in general they felt that learning through online is really convenient and ease; and they were also using online to search for information. Somehow there were also negative feedback where they felt not satisfied with the Internet coverage. In additional the SESD’s student stressed that their communication skills were enhanced.

Appraisal of E-learning structure in Nigerian Polytechnics: A Case study of F...IOSR Journals
Abstract: E-learning represents an entirely new learning environment where information and communication
systems, whether networked learning or not, serve as specific media to implement the learning process for
students. In response to the fast development in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), e-learning
was therefore adopted by many universities and other higher institutions around the globe as a way of
improving and supporting their teaching-learning activities and making education accessible for all society
members.. Unfortunately, this rapidly changing technological resource along with the ever growing and mobile
society has no doubt created many challenges for students, teachers, parents, administrators and policymakers
particularly in developing countries. This actually made the paper to assess the e-learning structure in term of
physical infrastructure and human development at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti through data collected
both by structured interview and questionnaires. The analyses of which the states of development are at low
realm therefore, call for a robust synergy that will be able to meet and cope with the test of the time.

Abstract: In many learning places, online learning has become the new normal with the major aim of averting the
Covid-19 pandemic effects. Besides, the e-learning benefits can help mitigate the effects of conventionalism and
deferment in education institutions and foster the development of student's critical thinking skills as would be
anticipated in traditional residential practices if exploited effectively. Even though research myriads have proved
that it is a student-and-action-based model that has the potential to accomplish optimal education and learning
outcomes when applied successfully, online learning more often than not has been criticized for being unable to
engage learners amply. Understandably, in residential systems, teaching learners to develop critical thinking skills
has been challenging because it needs the physical presence of students and faculty to participate in the analyses
and syntheses of complex concepts for applications, clarity and better assimilations. To successfully apply the same
in an e-learning setting will need augmented knowledge in the subject matters as well as knowledge in the elearning dynamics, including applications of germane instructional strategies, contexts and influential theories.

The Impact Digitalization Has on Students’ Behavior on a High-Level Instituti...FinancialMarketCorpo
The overall aim of this study was to describe and understand how the impact of digitalization impacts
students’ behavior on a high-level institution such as the University of Namibia. In order to achieve this aim, the
following research questions/and research objectives were formulated. The findings of the study were as follows:
About 60% of respondents indicated had benefited from digitalization offered by the University of Namibia. Meaning that students had a positive behavior on the digitalization in their learning environment. But about 5 (25%) and
4 (20%) of the respondents showed their disagreement. 4 (20%) of the respondents were neutral as the opted in the
middle of the data collection. Only 2 (10%) of the respondents were in agreement with the digital online platforms
that it created a more collaborative lecture room environment at the University of Namibia.
With thus, students were unsatisfied with digital online platforms in the lecture room and referred to it of being
very inadequate and unreliable. With that mind it is recommended that the digitalization should be updated,
restructure and improved by the University for Better Performances and the promotion of learning among the
stakeholders.
A pragmatic study on e learning system for higher education in developing cou...Najeem Olawale Adelakun
The Internet has become one of the greatest inventions of mankind for learning and sharing of useful information through electronic means. For some years now, the developed nations have adopted the use of the e-learning system. Presently, the COVID-19 outbreak has given rise to the adoption of the e-learning system by many countries of the world being the most viable alternative for teaching and learning. This paper uses a pragmatic approach to evaluates the benefits and challenges associated with the e-learning system. A survey was conducted among students in a higher institution and a total of one hundred and twenty-five responses was gathered from the online questionnaire to know the likely challenges faced by students with the e-learning system and also at an online researchers’ forum. The result shows that 30.40% of students complained about weak internet connectivity from the questionnaire administered which is also the major problem in most developing nations, and for optimal performance of the e-learning system, there should be adequate provision for strong internet connectivity, standard IT infrastructure, and user-friendly e-learning platform.
Fault tolerance is an important issue in the field of cloud computing which is concerned with the techniques or mechanism needed to enable a system to tolerate the faults that may encounter during its functioning. Fault tolerance policy can be categorized into three categories viz. proactive, reactive and adaptive. Providing a systematic solution the loss can be minimized and guarantee the availability and reliability of the critical services. The purpose and scope of this study is to recommend Support Vector Machine, a supervised machine learning algorithm to proactively monitor the fault so as to increase the availability and reliability by combining the strength of machine learning algorithm with cloud computing.

Covid-19 is the destructive world’s most recent pandemic that is experienced in every part of the world.
This deadly virus affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate
illness and recover without hospitalisation. Covid-19 most common symptoms include fever, dry and tiredness.
It is against this background that in Namibian health environment the country uses a manual system to record
public member’s demographic information when visiting public places which do not allow tracing and monitoring of every public member who visited the 14 regions in the country. Therefore, the present study developed a
National COVID-19 health contact tracing and monitoring system which will allow every public member who visits
an enclosed public place by capturing their demographic information as well as the date and time the facility was
visited. The system replaces the paper-based method of recording the information of people visiting public places
with an entrance that allows the coming in and out of people. The system will also allow for real-time monitoring of
temperature changes of individuals.
Abstract. The Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia under the division of epidemiology uses a manual
paper-based approach to capture disease surveillance data through 5 levels of reporting which include the community level, the health facility level, the district level, and the national level. As a result, this method of communicating
and exchanging disease surveillance information is cost and time consuming, which delay disease surveillance information from reaching the head office on time.
In today’s world information and communication technology (ICT) play a crucial role and at the same time, it affects our lives every day. In the current digital age, many organisations across the globe make use of ICT as a tool to facilities teaching and learning(Bosamia,2018). These technologies have been used to enable end-user to access content materials offered online such as portable devices such smartphone, laptops and so on which operate for information, speed, and communication anywhere and anytime without physically visiting the location where the service is offered. With the use of ICT, e-commerce comes into play which enables end-user to send an email, market shopping to on-line shopping, classroom learning to e-learning where class are conducted over the internet.
This research is proposed to design air monitoring system using IOT. The goal of building a smart device to improve the quality of life. We have used several sensors to identify the quality of air on real time basis. IOT based air monitoring system is used to monitor the air quality over the app using internet. It will show the air quality in PPM on LCD. And also, if level is exceeding the normal rate then it will notify the respective person who is the user of that app, an emergency message to let them know that they should take symptoms like wearing a mask etc. To protect them from bad air quality.
Paraphrasing refers to the sentences that either differs in their textual content or dissimilar in rearrangement of words but convey the same meaning. Identifying a paraphrase is exceptionally important in various real life applications such as Information Retrieval, Plagiarism Detection, Text Summarization and Question Answering. A large amount of work in Paraphrase Detection has been done in English and many Indian Languages. However, there is no existing system to identify paraphrases in Marathi.
Solving geometric problems of special importance is the transformation of a plane called inversion. When solving geometric problems, the transformation of the plane called inversion is of special importance. An inversion is a mapping of a plane that a set of directions and a circle maps to the same set, and in doing so it can map a line either to a line or to a circle, and it can also map a circle to either a line or a circle.
We present the solution in several ways, i.e., one solution from geometry, four solutions are clearly geometric, i.e., one is trigonometric and three are analytical (two on complex level and one in Deck level).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Introduced Microsoft Teams and Zoom services. However,
Students and lecturers were faced with many challenges to
adopting the implemented systems.
It is with this existing problem that a framework
to guide the adoption of electronic learning (e-learning)
is designed to guide higher institutes of learning. The
developed framework will enable the implementation of
e-learning which can be adopted by other sectors enabling
facilitating learning online.
The main objective of this paper is to develop a frame-
work to guide the adoption and implementation of elec-
tronic learning in Namibian educational institutions. This
paper provides the view of the Namibia University of Sci-
ence and Technology students and lecturers framework.
The reason for this framework is to ensure that the Namib-
ian educational institutions implement the eLearning ser-
vices successfully. The main question benign addressed in
this paper is: How can a framework be developed to improve
smooth adoption and implementation of electronic learning with-
out challenges?
2 Overview of eLearning System
in Namibian Educational
Institutions
Namibian educational institutions are one of the educa-
tional institutions that keeps up with the pace in the usage
of ICT infrastructure and new technology trends.
Namibian educational institutions over the years has
been experiencing challenges in the implementation and
adoption of e-learning due to lack of human capital and
technical skills on the staff who are fully equipped to utilise
the technology platform implemented in the institutions.
Students, Learners, Teachers and Lecturers Namibian
educational institutions can use e-learning to enable them
to learn anytime and anywhere. E-learning can include
training, the delivery of just – in time information and
guidance from experts. The benefits e-learning can offer
is that it has quicker delivery cycle times than traditional
classroom-based instruction (Welsh et al., 2003). However,
because of the speed and ease in which e-learning is
delivered, the costs of learning and development for an
organization are drastically reduced. In addition, there are
immediate cost-effective gains of e-learning in terms of
reducing training time as well as cost-effective savings in
terms of trainers, course materials, travel and accommo-
dation. However, it is equally important to highlight that
e-learning, when done right, can also improve an organi-
zation’s profitability.
3 Methodology
Based on the research aim, the qualitative interpretive
methods were selected to understand and examine the
implementation and adoption of e-learning in Namibian
educational institutions.
The qualitative Interpretivism methods were selected
primarily because it allows researchers to gather data of
subjective views and opinions from both students, learn-
ers, teachers and lecturers who were engaged in the study.
The semi-structured interview technique was selected pri-
marily because it enables the gathering of rich data,
through insightful view and opinion from the participants
(Rowley et al., 2011). The semi-structured interview tech-
nique allows flexibility during data collection, this includes
instant probing of participants answers, as this was done
over the telephone. According to Draper and Swift (2010),
the interviewer has the flexibility to rephrase and restruc-
ture the questions during the interviews.
The data were analyzed to get a better understanding of
the adoption and implementation of e-learning in Namib-
ian educational institutions.
4 Developments-framework
Development
This Namibian educational institutions framework devel-
oped would improve smooth adoption and implementa-
tion of electronic learning without experiencing challenges
since this educational framework would act as a central-
ized online platform for self-study, new skills-acquisitions
and self-improvement among learners, teachers, students
and Lecturers in Namibian educational institutions when

adopting and implementing eLearning. The educational
framework developed is also addressing the issue of
information exchange and communication among learn-
ers, teachers, students and lecturers between Namibian
educational institutions.
5 Results
The study found out that the adoption and implementation
of e-learning have been a challenge in Namibian educa-
tional institutions due to the lack of ICT knowledge to
utilize the e-learning platform, hence it takes time for staffs
to acquaint themselves with the new technology adopted
or implemented.
A total of 30 participants which includes students and
lecturer from 5 departments at NUST were engaged in the
study and semi-structured questionnaires were distributed
through Google form link.

Response Rate
The study was conducted with the Namibian educational
institutions in Namibia with students, learners, teachers
and lecturers. A total of 18 participants responded to the
semi-structured questionnaires of which 38.9% represents
male while female 61.1%.
Figure 2 below represents the number of participants
that were engaged in the study which means female were
the majority to respond with a 61.1% response rate while
the minority were male with a response rate of 38.9%.
The study distributed Google link form to different
age group as represented on the pie chart above in
a form of age group response rate in percentage. The
age group between 18–25 response rate were 22.2%, age
group between 26–35 response rate were 55.6%, age group
between 36–45 response rate were 16.7% and the age group

7 Recommendations
The study recommends the following:
Proper training should be introduced in advance when
adoption and implementation of
• E-Learning in Namibian educational institutions Stu-
dents, Learners, Teachers and Lecturers.
• The government of Namibia should invest in
online platform to assist Namibian educational
institutions to successfully adopt and implement
eLearning.
8 Conclusions
The adoption and implementation of e-learning in Namib-
ian educational institutions has been crucial for students
and lecturers to execute their academic tasks efficiently and
effectively in the delivery of educational technology that
enables lecturers and students to access study materials
online and as a result, this can improve the performance
of the students.
