 Immanuel Kant was the German philosopher .
 Kant is considered one of the greatest philosopher of all time.
 His works specially those on epistemology aestheticsand ethics had a profound
influence on later philosophers including contemporary
1.The critique of Pure reason:
 Kant maintains that our knowledge does not entirely comethrough our sense
Which but imperfect measure of reality.The real World is beyond of our
sensory comprehension butnot beyond our intellectual comprehension Kant
said,
"The eye Without the mind is blind and impotent"
2.The critique of Practical reasons
 It is a refutation of his precious views. He based his religion on pure reason
but on morals. Ethical obligations is reality.
3. The critique of judgement
 Kant finds god in the beautiful resign of nature based on
“Patterns laid up in the heavens”.
 The lay man feels the presence of god in the two grade mysteries.
“The starry heavens above and the law within”.
 Divided knowledge into transcendental and empirical knowledge
 Believed that there were truths not based upon sensory experience
 Believed in free will and an innate moral consciousness.
The mind is:
 Active
 Governed by innate laws and structure
 Translates sensations into ideas
 The dimensions of time and space are perceptual forms
 innate to the mind
His contribution on Psychology has been felt in:
 Cognitive development
 Moral development
 Structure of thought and language
 Idea of culture-free method of assessment
 Education should be provide both 'a priori' and 'postiriori' knowledge to
the child.
 Education should promote Power of Self determination.
 Child's education should continue untill the Age of sixteen.
 Child is neither good nor Bad at birth. So education Should play
constructive role in Forming Human character
• Immanuel Kant is one of the greatest philosophers of modern
period. He was a man ofstrict discipline and regular habits.
Kantianidealism can be regarded as the gateway ofmodern
philosophy.

  • 3.  Immanuel Kant was the German philosopher .  Kant is considered one of the greatest philosopher of all time.  His works specially those on epistemology aestheticsand ethics had a profound influence on later philosophers including contemporary

  • 5. 1.The critique of Pure reason:  Kant maintains that our knowledge does not entirely comethrough our sense Which but imperfect measure of reality.The real World is beyond of our sensory comprehension butnot beyond our intellectual comprehension Kant said, "The eye Without the mind is blind and impotent" 2.The critique of Practical reasons  It is a refutation of his precious views. He based his religion on pure reason but on morals. Ethical obligations is reality.
  • 6. 3. The critique of judgement  Kant finds god in the beautiful resign of nature based on “Patterns laid up in the heavens”.  The lay man feels the presence of god in the two grade mysteries. “The starry heavens above and the law within”.
  • 7.  Divided knowledge into transcendental and empirical knowledge  Believed that there were truths not based upon sensory experience  Believed in free will and an innate moral consciousness. The mind is:  Active  Governed by innate laws and structure  Translates sensations into ideas  The dimensions of time and space are perceptual forms  innate to the mind His contribution on Psychology has been felt in:  Cognitive development  Moral development  Structure of thought and language  Idea of culture-free method of assessment
