Definitions
According to Ehow.com, an educational module goes
beyond a lesson plan. An educational module begins
with a purpose or a question and consists of a series of
lesson plans designed to teach specific concepts. An
educational module gives an overview of the subject and
delves into various specific lessons.

Packets of subject-related teaching materials
containing objectives, directions for use, and test items.
What it consists of…
A learning module must consist of the following:
  Objectives related to the topic.

  Sufficient content about the topic.

Fun activities related to the topic.

An assignment for each topic given.

Outcome objectives that each student should be
able to identify at the end of the module.
Example of an internet
 module
An internet module is when a class is given usually over the internet.
An example of it, is a class on the Blackboard Learning System. The
whole course is over the internet and in some cases never even meet the
professor who offers the course. It contains objectives, course content,
activities, homework, and exams and/or quizzes.

Example of a packet module
A packet module is a course of a certain topic given in a classroom
setting. It is the similar to an internet module. The only thing that
differs is that this type of module requires you to actually be present
and contains more hands on practice with the professor. It contains
the objectives, course content, activities, assignments, and exams
and/or quizzes.

Conclusion
In the making of this informative power point, I
have come across many interesting things that are useful for
my career as a future English teacher. For example, I have
learned the difference between both types of modules and the
different uses they have. A packet module requires students’
attendance, while an internet module just requires students’
availability to a computer. Overall, this was a gratifying
experience to be able to expand the horizons on how a teacher
gets through to the students by fun activities and involving
technology rather than by just textbooks.
