 The process of receiving & giving systematic information.
 Education is delivery of knowledge, skills & information
from teachers to learners.
 Process of becoming an educated person.

 The action plan derived from a systematic consultative process which
began in December 1999.
 The consultation has engaged over 500 people compromising,
experts, civil society groups, private sector, NGOs, Provincial
governments, along with their Ministers and Governors.

5. EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN
 Education in Pakistan is overseen by Ministry of Education of
government of Pakistan.
 The academic institution are the responsibility of provisional
government.
 Federal government is responsible for curriculum development,
accreditation & some finance research.
 Pakistan produces about 445,000 university graduates and 25,000–
30,000 computer science graduates per year.

 The COVID-19 pandemic caused a loss of $2 billion to Pakistan’s
Education sector.
 The latest study on the effects of COVID-19 on the economy has
been conducted by the KPMG, estimated that almost 125 million
people, more than half of the country’s population slip into the
clutches of poverty, which can adversely affect our education
sectors.
