The TPACK Framework: My Growth and
Understanding.
Before taking EDU 210
I had no idea what TPACK
was or even that it was a
very important acronym
in education.

I did not have an understanding
of the relationship that the
types of knowledge in the
TPACK framework shared.
After taking EDU 210
I gained the understanding that
TPACK is
technological, pedagogical, cont
ent knowledge. The three types
of knowledge that teachers need
to effectively teach.

types of knowledge that
teachers must balance to
become more effective.

When I initial discover the concept of
TPACK I believe my personal model may
have looked like this. My content
knowledge was most developed of the
three. Followed by my technological
knowledge and then my pedagogical
knowledge. When considering how
connected these three types of
knowledge were I believe my content
and pedagogical knowledge were more
connect than any of the other
relationships.
How I have grown regarding the TPACK framework.
As my learning has progressed I believe that my
technological knowledge has improved and it has
formed a stronger relationship with the other two
types of knowledge.

With all the new technologies I have learned about
in EDU 210 I believe I can more effectively deliver
my content knowledge with these technologies and
these technologies can also improve the “how” I
deliver this information. Therefore improving the
overall relationship of the three types of
knowledge in my TPACK framework
A specific example of my new learning that relates to the TPACK
framework.

While learning about all the different tools in EDU 210 I came across a great web 2.0 tool
called Educaplay. This allows a teacher to create lessons and teaching activities in a
variety different media. I can improve how I deliver my lessons using the technology
according to the different types of learners in my class. I can create visual lessons for my
visual learners and deliver the content in this way. I can also create more interactive
assignments for the students to engage them in learning the content.
Learning about the TPACK framework has and will continue to have
a very large impact on how I teach.

I have begun taking the opportunity to look at how I can form
relationships between the new methods of teaching, new
technologies, and content that I learn about to construct more
effective lessons. Every new technology that I learn about
provides me with the opportunity to rethink how I can deliver
the content that I will expect my students to learn

I will continue to work toward integrating all three types of
knowledge into a relationship where I bring all three types of
knowledge into the classroom and reach more students in a more
effective manner of teaching. Improving on creating an equally
balanced relationship between the three types of
knowledge, working toward a personal TPACK model that more
closely reflects the ideal model and hopefully reaching my full
potential as an educator.

As my learning has progressed I believe that my technological knowledge has improved and it has formed a stronger relationship with the other two types of knowledge. With all the new technologies I have learned about in EDU 210 I believe I can more effectively deliver my content knowledge with these technologies and these technologies can also improve the “how” I deliver this information. Therefore improving the overall relationship of the three types of knowledge in my TPACK framework
  • 6. A specific example of my new learning that relates to the TPACK framework. From https://edshelf.com/ tool/educaplay While learning about all the different tools in EDU 210 I came across a great web 2.0 tool called Educaplay. This allows a teacher to create lessons and teaching activities in a variety different media. I can improve how I deliver my lessons using the technology according to the different types of learners in my class. I can create visual lessons for my visual learners and deliver the content in this way. I can also create more interactive assignments for the students to engage them in learning the content.
  • 7. Learning about the TPACK framework has and will continue to have a very large impact on how I teach. I have begun taking the opportunity to look at how I can form relationships between the new methods of teaching, new technologies, and content that I learn about to construct more effective lessons. Every new technology that I learn about provides me with the opportunity to rethink how I can deliver the content that I will expect my students to learn I will continue to work toward integrating all three types of knowledge into a relationship where I bring all three types of knowledge into the classroom and reach more students in a more effective manner of teaching. Improving on creating an equally balanced relationship between the three types of knowledge, working toward a personal TPACK model that more closely reflects the ideal model and hopefully reaching my full potential as an educator.
