2/16 1:15pm 3:00pm So today Shafia and Mia edited the trailer into the
correct order. Although Jenny had already done
this, some of the shots seemed to not connect with
one another so we rearranged some. (The shot of
Riven dancing shifted to the end).
The lesson was productive because it allowed us to
look deeper into the order and also let us research
the sound and the shots that would keep it coherent
with the sound.
2/16 9:00am 10:00am Today Shafia and Mia edited the lighting and
colours of the shots. Some of the shots looked a bit
yellow due to the lighting in the room where we
filmed so we edited this on Premier Pro to make it
look less yellow by moving the contrast and the
shades of shot.
2/16 10:30am 12:15pm Jenny edited the length of the clips down today.
Some of the clips had been a bit too long for a
trailer so she thought that it would be appropriate to
shorten them down. Shafia and Mia then looked
into this and found this useful because we were
able to look at the sound we were creating and fit it
better with the shot length on the trailer.
2/16 10:00am 10:30am Today we changed the colour of the font of some of
the transition shots (the writing i.e. “Mia Jones as
Riven Morris”). Mia found that this would be a better
idea over the purple font which was the original idea
because it fit better with the genre and was
obviously romantic.
2/16 3:00pm 4:30pm There were more After Effects slides to be done so
Shafia worked on this whist Jenny looked into the
production/distribution company logo. Mia looked
into the sound research today and how the pitch
should work out along with the voiceover for the
trailer. Although this lesson could have gone better,
it has allowed us to learn about the importance of
time management as the deadline is getting closer.
