Achieved plastic neutrality and aims to minimize
plastic waste generation at source and maximize
plastic waste reuse and recyclability throughout
the value chain.
When it comes to sourcing, reduced
transportation through vendor proximity and virtual
transactions helps us limit environmental impact.
These initiatives have helped consistently reduce
our energy usage per unit sale by 44%, over a
ten-year period.
Usage of freshwater per unit sale today stands at
about 35% of what it was about a decade ago.

8. AUROBINDO
Waste water Management
All regulations for the disposal of wastewater to Common Effluent Treatment Plants
(CETPs) or marine discharge across our formulation units and API facilities.
Solid waste Management
The standardized practice for disposing of organic waste, of sending this to cement units
for reuse as auxiliary fuel in kilns. They use Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities
(TSDF) to manage our inorganic and miscellaneous solid wastes.

9. Key Focused Areas-
Environmental Management
To help monitor and limit our emissions, they have installed online continuous emissions
monitoring systems across our manufacturing units and these are also connected to the
central and state pollution control boards.
Energy Management
A key component of our carbon management strategy is monitoring our energy
consumption and the GHG emissions. Once they have tracked our performance we roll
out initiatives to reduce our carbon emissions and mitigate the impact of carbon already
emitted.
