Introduction
• It is believed that knowledge is flowing because
water is flowing. Except in this earth there is no
knowledge as there is no water. They are only
celestial bodies.
• Water has taught is manners and good life.
• Ancient Chinese believe that 90% of the humanity
is water.
• ‘Ganga is the soul of India was said by Nehuru.
• For every civilization, story, dialougs, screenplay
action… everything is a river.
• But these perennial rivers are now in danger. They
are drying/dying.
• In a short span of 15 daysIn a short span of 15 days

river.

Conclusion
 In the coming 2-3 decades, the
Himalayan glaciers will melt to cause
floods to the rivers.
 Even the other rivers like Yamuna,
Kauvery, Godavari, Krishna etc., are on
the way of vanishing.
 People and farmers dependent on these
rivers will be water thirsty.
 Power generation will be reduced.
 Monsoon winds will not be timely.

  • 2. Introduction • It is believed that knowledge is flowing because water is flowing. Except in this earth there is no knowledge as there is no water. They are only celestial bodies. • Water has taught is manners and good life. • Ancient Chinese believe that 90% of the humanity is water. • ‘Ganga is the soul of India was said by Nehuru. • For every civilization, story, dialougs, screenplay action… everything is a river. • But these perennial rivers are now in danger. They are drying/dying.

  • 5. Mother of Ancient Indian Civilization- The Sindhu  The river flows through Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and China.  The river is 1800miles long.  Main threat:- Atmospheric changes, excessive use of water, 6 proposed dams, and pollution.
  • 6. Life line of Egypt  The river flows through Egypt, Sudan, Euthopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Kango and Kenya.  The river covers an area of 12,57,000 sq. miles.  The main threat to the river is due to the atmospheric changes, and excess of usage.
  • 7. La plata Basin of South America  The river is 2500miles long, and flows through Urgey, Pauragey, Argentina and Brazil.  The main threat to the river is due to 27 proposed dams, excessive fishing, pollution and atmospheric changes.
  • 8. River Salveen  The river is 1740miles long flowing though China, Burma and Thailand.  There are 16 proposed dams in this river.
  • 9. Conclusion  In the coming 2-3 decades, the Himalayan glaciers will melt to cause floods to the rivers.  Even the other rivers like Yamuna, Kauvery, Godavari, Krishna etc., are on the way of vanishing.  People and farmers dependent on these rivers will be water thirsty.  Power generation will be reduced.  Monsoon winds will not be timely.  Thank You
