This document provides an overview of key concepts in earth science, including the layers of the Earth, different types of rocks (igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic), minerals, Moh's scale of hardness, properties of soil, weathering, erosion, deposition, volcanoes, earthquakes, and landslides/floods. It describes each layer of the Earth by depth and composition. It also defines the three main types of rocks, how each is formed, and provides examples. Additional topics like the rock and mineral identification and the geological processes of weathering and erosion are summarized as well.
