This document discusses the effect of glycine as an impurity on the properties of epsomite single crystals (MgSO4·7H2O), highlighting their optical, mechanical, electrical, and structural characteristics. Pure and glycine-doped epsomite crystals were grown and characterized, revealing that glycine incorporation alters densities and lattice parameters while enhancing nonlinear optical and dielectric properties. The findings indicate that glycine addition could lead to epsomite crystals becoming low-dielectric materials suited for various applications.
