This study investigates the growth and properties of L-alanine mixed bis-thiourea cadmium bromide chloride (BTBC) single crystals, showing that the addition of L-alanine enhances nonlinear optical (NLO) properties, optical transparency, and hardness. The crystals were synthesized in varying molar ratios, and analyses confirmed a transition in crystal structure from orthorhombic to tetragonal with increased L-alanine concentration. Notably, SHG efficiency improved with L-alanine addition, indicating potential applications in photonic technologies.
