PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a conscientious and driven individual
who can work both independently and as a
team. My positive, friendly and trustworthy
approach to work, driven by common sense
allows me to complete all tasks to the highest
standard whilst confidently motivating and
working with others. Through studying
Theology I have gained many skills, including
analytical thinking, debating, essay writing
skills, research skills and improved further my social interactions through a deeper
emotional intelligence. I am always aiming for perfection which means that I am
inquisitive, hard-working and a team player. I am ambitious and believe that my
unique and driven personality will allow me to excel whilst being able to be a
personable and empathetic employee.
WORK EXPERIENCE- jobs and responsibilities involved.
Volunteering at a local primary school (Albourne C of E)
Teaching children the value of team work.
Engaging them team sports such as football and basketball.
General Assistant- Knights Budgens Hassocks, September 2012- June 2014.
Familiar with using an EPOS tills for long periods of time.
Utilising my maths skills .e. cash handling and stock management.
Keeping the work environment at an acceptable level of hygiene e.g. Cleaning
the tills, windows, counters, shelves etc…
Stock replenishment- both of fresh and ambient.
Facing up the shop from fresh to ambient and frozen.
Kiosk trained- lottery machine, cigarettes and spirits etc…
Being aware and implementing the under 25’s rule: the selling of age restricted
products and IDing when appropriate.
Assisting customers with their shopping- often assisting customers with visual
impairments.

As well as the above, after being promoted my skills have grown dramatically-
Both being a team member and often leading the team when management are
undertaking other tasks. This role involves me utilising my common sense to
working both within a team but also individually completing tasks delegated to
someone in a supervisory role.
Organising my peers e.g. delegating jobs to the team such as stock/ cashier
roles.
Taking in and checking off deliveries.
Undertaking stock takes when appropriate.
Reducing items, including items using the produce dating system e.g. A23
(January 23rd).
Opening and closing shifts on the tills, both at the beginning of the day and at
the end. This involved returning tills contents to the safe ready to be counted.
Issuing change and cash from the safe.

Completing management training logs so that I can passionately understand
the various layers of management right from the bottom to the top.

event and the staff Christmas party.
