POINT PRECINCT POINT PRECINCT PROJECT: PERMANENT SAND BYPASS Progress to date: Construction Phase • Started in July 2012 • Main Civil Works 100% Complete. • Pipes and pumps installed. • Electrical connection complete. Commissioning • Started in September 2016 • Water commissioning 70%. Resume 18 April 2017 • Slurry commissioning 20%. Resume 4 May 2017 • Performance Testing 0%. Commence 9 May 2017 Handover: • Target date is May 2017 Notes: • Direct Discharge Line is operational and 600 000 cubes of sand have been supplied to the beaches.

DURBAN CONTAINER TERMINAL BERTH DEEPENING: BERTH 203 , 204 , 205 Progress to date: • Detailed design 100% complete • FEL 03 stage 100% complete • Ministerial approval (DPE & DEA) 100% complete Procurement: • Tendering phase 30% complete • Anticipated contract Award Aug 2018 • Targeted execution date Jan 2019 SALISBURY ISLAND INFILL Progress to date: • FEL 3 60% complete Targeted submission to Gate Review Nov 2019 • EIA progress TNPA is preparing an Environmental Impact Report and conducting Specialist environmental studies. • Anticipated contract Award July 2021 • Awaiting Signing of the Lease Agreement by DPW. • Negotiations on going. • Anticipated contract completion July 2026
- 11. Progress to date BAYHEAD PARK – Operation Phakisa Durban Projects FEL Percentage Completed Rehabilitation of the inner caisson FEL 2 FEL 2 - 100% complete. In a request for funding process. Overhead Cranes for Workshop 24 & Pump House FEL 3 75% complete, project at design stage. Completion 19 April 2017. Equipment Upgrade for Workshop 24 FEL 4 55% complete, tender to be awarded by 31 March 2017. Contract starts on 03 April 2017. Pump House Upgrade FEL 3 55% complete, tender was awarded. Design in progress. Completion 31 May 2017. Fire System Upgrade FEL 3 55% complete, tender was awarded. Design in progress. Completion 15 June 2017. Dry Dock Capstans FEL 2 FEL 2 - 100% complete. In a request for funding process. Replacement of South Side Crane Rail at Dry Dock FEL 3 29% complete, project is at feasibility stage. This will be executed concurrently to the Jib Cranes Upgrade of the Floating Dock FEL 2 FEL 2 - 100% complete. Pursuing alternative funding through the “Section 56” process is in progress. Jib Cranes FEL 3 13% complete, project will be executed in collaboration with Transnet Engineering • Outer Caisson Rehabilitation • Dry Dock Concrete Repairs • Procurement of 6ton Forklift • Procurement of Welding Equipment Completed Project.
