3. Contact Sheet For Double Page Spread
As you can see I didn’t have a lot of choices due to the fact that I
didn’t have enough time but luckily I managed to capture a lot of
good images. As you can see Olivia had great facial expressions in
all of the images which really lights up the magazine.
4. Evaluation
The whole process of the double page spread I found quiet easy. I enjoyed taking the images.
The hard part that took a bit of time was producing the actual information for the article. The
easiest method that I found was asking a set of interview questions. This method helped me
fill out the actual double page spread. I didn’t struggle to produce more information.
The editing process I found quiet easy. The only thing that I struggled on with the editing
process was the editing of the two images that I used. I had to do a lot of brightness
experimenting and colour experimenting to really bring out the image.
From my task one research task as you can see I have hit the targets that I have set for myself.
Targets such as non-serif type of text, simple use of text, masthead to be simple etc. For me
this is a big achievement due to the fact that I showed commitment to my work.
The whole double page spread process was difficult. My double page article was simple, so in a
way I found it okay. Putting the vinyl's on my work and then lowering the opacity was fairly
easy, choosing a non-serif type of text also too was fairly easy. Like I mentioned earlier, the
only thing that I struggled on was editing the two images that I had on my double page article.
I had to experiment with the contrast and brightness and the colour correction tool.
5. If I were to do this project again, the only thing that I would focus on is my time
management with the whole project. I found myself rushing most of the time due to the
fact that I had other bits to do such as the front cover for this project. Overall I think this
has prepared me for future projects similar to this.
As you can see this was the targets that I was aiming for in task one. From what you can
see I have hit the targets for both front cover and double page spread. These were my
initial intention for both projects and I stayed committed to my intentions
