Planning my double page spread
I intend to create an informative article, introducing my chosen artist to the general public.I have included a range of different images and a small amount of text, although I have included a small interview with the chosen artist.Type of DPS I intend to create
Original imagesThese are the images which I am going to use on my double page spread.
I have taken the images in my double page spreads myself, I have then used Photoshop to edit them. For the information I have made up the information, to suit my chosen artist. How to obtain information & images?
I want my double page spread to look like the style that Q adapted in their February 2010 issue. I like the way they have laid it out as it looks original and suits the genre of the magazine.I have adapted this style and made it my own, although it is still slightly similar.Visual style I want to achieve?
I have used informative colloquial language in my article as this is the sort of language that my target audience use in everyday life, therefore it appeals to them and they can understand what I have written.Style of writing?

BLACK AND DARK YELLOW.Does the font work-why? YES, IT CORRESPONDS WITH THE COLOUR SCHEME.Is the main image eye catching? YES IT TAKES UP A WHOLE PAGE, BUT CARRIES ON OVER ONTO BOTH.Can you identify how their layout has been created in InDesign? NOT REALLY.Will you repeat any of the design or layout for your magazine? I DON’T THINK SO BECAUSE I AM GOING FOR A DIFFERENT TYPE OF DPS.
