1. DOUBLE PAGE ARTICLE...

2. Here is the text that had to be taken off of the urban fonts website where I had to use the process of deleting the background and filling in the colours. The only piece of writing that was not rounded off in its font was of ‘E.P’ that highlighted that this item was special and important .

3. When carrying out the photography I had a specific idea of making him appear to be leaning against a flat background so to create this effect I used another person for him to be leaning up against and made sure they were around the same height as he was so he was not leaned and that they were wearing a colour different to the ones he has on so there was no confusion of clothing when cutting out all pictured above.

Again I zoomed in to give me this advantage stated before as well as bringing errors that may not have been seen to light, indicated below: The line from the green backdrop runs across his face and in parts of his hair Piece of green in between curls of his hair Error and shape of green on his head

6. I removed the green backdrop that outlined his face by zooming really close in then using the magic wan tool to select the coloured part and delete it. His hair was corrected by the use of the cloning tool whereby I took hair from another part of his head and replaced it with that the green that was in his hair as it was too deep into curls to simply delete. I repeatedly zoomed in to his head and carefully applied the rubber on the part to be removed while trying not to create a dent in to his head.

7. once more I used the magic wand for the removal of the green line that remained on his clothing after zooming in

8. Resulting in this smoothly outlined image:

9. On the double page article I specifically wanted the male featured to have different coloured shadows behind him consisting of purple and additionally yellow. Above you can see the process of me turning his shadow from yellow to purple which I done by filling a square with the colour I wanted then pasting this within the image to be filled. I filled the rest of the image by using the clone tool in a circular brush which was next to be used when transforming the image to purple.

10. I also used a second picture on my magazine following conventions of real publications and chose this one because it related to the advertisement for the puff piece on the front cover as the main article is about him and how he came to find his fame referring back to the front cover description o0f the feature article: , The unknown is revealed.

11. I edited the text on my double page article so it was rounded and easily read to there would be no straining of the readers eyes although the writing is small. I included a random question and answer quiz at the bottom to carry this fun aspect through the magazine and changed the font of the questions and answers so they can easily be identified.

12. Similar to the puff pieces of many magazines, I put a quote in a bigger font as a lure enticing the reader to read more about the topic. I chose ‘I was moon-walking from the age of three’ as it is a weird unusual thing to be doing at that age enticing the reader to continue to read through the article to find out more.

13. I placed the starmix logo in the top left of the article so the magazine that the page belongs to can easily be identified. I included the page number in the bottom left like a typical magazine would but continued to use the chosen colours within these conventions. Additionally I put my article into columns similar to a normal magazine, instead of paragraphs, but continued to use a stand first paragraph at the start that opens the article introducing what it is about.
