This document outlines a two-day workshop on using critical creativity in English language education in Saudi Arabia. The workshop introduces techniques like "makering" and task-based learning to help students engage with language in a creative way. Participants explore concepts like minimalist poster design and emoji storytelling. They also discuss assessing critical thinking and plan lessons incorporating critical creativity tasks. The goal is to inspire teachers to bring STEAM approaches to EFL using activities that motivate learning.

6. Workshop Objectives
This workshop is designed to introduce participants to ways
that English as a Foreign Language (EFL) can be critically and
creatively included in a 21st Century STEAM (Science
Technology Engineering ARTS Maths) approach to primary and
secondary education. Using a Task-Based Language Learning
approach to the activity of “makering,” we provide you the
spaces to explore how language play can engage and motivate
learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
