journals held in print for College users

 Aimed at ‘distance learners’ and to improve online access to journal articles held
in print, but where the e-journal version is embargoed;
 Digitisation is undertaken in-house.

5. DocDel service for the Crick Institute
The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical research centre in
London, which opened in November 2016. The institute is a
partnership between Cancer Research UK, Imperial College
London, KCL, the Medical Research Council , UCL and the
Wellcome Trust. The institute is planned to have 1,500 staff,
including 1,250 scientists, and an annual budget of over £100
million, making it the biggest single biomedical laboratory in
Europe.
 Three month pilot (Feb-Apr) for a DocDel service for researchers not affiliated to
the College, KCL or UCL;
 Evaluation of the pilot will be discussed by LLT in Apr;
 Findings shared with KCL and UCL to discuss possible tri-partite shared service
longer term.

7. British Library DRM Lite adoption for
College users
 When you receive your first article from British Library
you will need to register for On Demand and this
password will be used to open all your future
documents, enabling you to move and view them on
any machine or device with internet access.
 To receive DRM Lite articles you will need Adobe
Reader version 10 or above and a British Library On
Demand login and password. If your web browser has a
built in pdf viewer then you will need to temporarily
disable this to allow the document to open directly
into Adobe Reader.
