2. Thesis Statement On Graphene
When I was child, there was a Television program called, MacGyver was telecast every
Wednesday in a week which I enjoyed most. How the MacGyver works to solve serious problem
with everyday items was very much intriguing to me. Since then I have been always trying to solve
things, no matter it is beyond me or not. My father told me that learn mathematics properly if you
want to be like MacGyver. I guess that was the unintentionally foundation for me to be an engineer.
I was very much fascinated to science since my childhood and still now, which actually played a
vital role to be an engineer as an engineer knows better how to relate theoretical mathematics with

My undergraduate thesis topic was Analysis the transport properties of graphene using Ensemble
Monte Carlo Simulation in which I studied electrical conductivity, effect of temperature on
graphene by varying temperature, effect of electric field on drift velocity, effect of scattering on
mobility, observed its some mechanical properties like stress enduring capability etc. in a form of
carbon nanotube. The most amazing fact about graphene is it may be a metal or a semiconductor or
a semi metal depending its indexes. Carbon nanotube is actually cylindrical form of graphene
sheet. By using tight binding model(TB), I got electronic band structure of graphene which was the
basis for the Monte Carlo Simulation as it is superior then Boltzmann transport equation(BTE) for
analyzing band structure. I have decent command on MathLab programming language. I acquired
A+ grade in my thesis and not only in the thesis but also I got good grade in all semiconductor

Literature review
There is a wide recognition of branding strategy as a source of competitive advantage in domestic
markets (Biel, 1992; Calderon et al., 1997; Chaudhuri and Holbrook, 2001; de
Chernatony, 2001; Farquhar, 1994; Moore et al., 2000; Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der
Vorst, 1998; Rubinstein, 1996). A brand in a holistic sense represents the synergistic effect of all
marketing efforts that instil and perpetuate an image in customers minds, and contribute to the
success of a firm by creating stronger cash flows and higher values for shareholders as
demonstrated by Yovovich (1988).
In addition to this holistic view of branding, a brand can be used as a corporate strategic tool to
enhance a п¬Ѓrm s performance (Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der
Vorst, 1998). Some argue that a brand can be placed as the focal point of a п¬Ѓrm so that brand
issues can be coordinated and given higher priority (Capon et al., 2001; Urde,
1994, 1999). This approach of brand orientation extends the resource based theory of marketing
strategy, in terms of how brands are created, developed, maintained, and protected, and can result in
enhanced performance of п¬Ѓrms. Broadening the brand spectrum means that branding goes
beyond marketing communications and should be regarded as an integrated business approach
(Rubinstein, 1996). Firms must manage the various aspects of a brand and tie it to the total

4. Undocumented Immigrants Should Be Legal
America is a nation of immigration but America also faces the problem of illegal immigration. In
America the debate of whether undocumented immigrants should be able to get full amnesty is still
a controversy. Even though illegal immigrants did make an illicit action, many see the United States
as an opportunity for a better future. In addition, undocumented immigrants should be granted
citizenship because it will benefit the United States. Creating an amnesty for the students will help
the United States by improving the economy, create more jobs and decrease deportation.
Granting citizenship to illegal immigrants will benefit the United States in the economy.
Legalizing immigrants will help them earn more money than they already do. This means that
immigrants will pay more taxes and consume more. When people start consuming more goods
there is a higher demand, necessitating more jobs. Authorizing immigrants will allow them to
pay federal taxes and state tax. Many immigrants already pay taxes only 30 to 50 percent of
immigrants don t report taxes. According to the Center for American Progress, immigrants don t
report taxes, because they fear to get discovered and deported (Lynch, 2013). Passing the reform
will increase tax profit to $116 billion in federal and $68 billion in state and local taxes (Lynch,
2013). Increasing tax profit will benefit citizenship because taxes will decrease on each individual.
Creating an amnesty for immigration will increase the United States

5. Violent Video Games Is A Negative Effects On Society
Sixty percent of boys and forty percent of girls who have played violent video games have
ended up committing some act of bullying as a middle schooler. Those percentages come from
pure scientific research, and just stating that fact should be enough to convince the minds of the
public that young children playing such violent games lead to a more dangerous society.
Exposure to these violent video games leads kids to have more violent intentions which of course
leave a negative impact on society. The style and the way the games are created simply encourage
savage behavior that is not normally expected of children. Soon enough kids will see violenceas a
social norm or even worse, commit a massive crime as those have done before them. Though it
seems that many people disagree, violence in video games does have a poor influence on those
children who are the future of human society. Stylistically, video games are created in such ways
that subconsciously promote violence. In most games, the goal is to kill as many characters as
the player possibly can to move on to the next level. The rewards of gaining points or advancing
to the next level is what excites children, so in these games, when they are rewarded for
committing a violent act, children will want to continue doing so to gain more of those pleasing
rewards. Another tactic used by the creators of these games is that they put the player in the
shooter s perspective. Players of violent video games are more likely to

6. Correlation Between Motivation And Achievement
Brown and Wahlberg designed a study in which they intended to demonstrate an independent causal
relationship between motivation and achievement (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). They purported to
have devised a study with a randomized assignment of students to conditions eliciting different
degrees of motivation (Brown Wahlberg, 1993, p. 134). The question for the researchers remained
what is the effect of experimentally manipulated motivational conditions on elementary math
scores (Brown Wahlberg, 1993, p. 133). The study remains a randomized quantitative mixed
methods quasi experimental study of 406 heterogeneously grouped students in third, fourth and
sixth through eighth grades in Chicago Public Schools (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). Three schools
were selected to participate in the study. The student populations in each school were described
as lower middle working class and predominantly Hispanic and African American (Brown
Wahlberg, 1993). Respective of each school, two classes were randomly selected out of each
grade level and randomly assigned to experimental groups. The participant groups were
administered the Mathematics Concept subtest of the Iowa Basic Skills (ITBS) 1978, Levels 9 14.
The ITBS was selected for its high reliability rating of 0.85 and its correlation with school
curriculum (Brown Wahlberg, 1993). One group received standard testing instructions while the
other group received an additional set of motivational instructions read from a script.

10. A Research Project On Poseidon Resources
Poseidon Resources is proposing to build a 50 MGD (50 million gallons per day) desalination
facility in the Carlsbad, California. The project has been highly questioned, with local and
environmental groups filing more than a dozen legal battles, including lawsuits and permit appeals,
versus the project. By late 2009, Poseidon had received all of the permits needed to build and
operate the plant and announced it would begin to secure financing. We will go further with the
cost, financing, and partnerships associated with the project.
Numerous and inconsistent cost estimates for the Carlsbad desalination project have been put out
since the project was introduced in the late 1990s. In May 2002, initial fixed cost estimates for the

About 54% of the total cost, is needed for the planning, permitting, design, construction, mitigation,
and legal costs related with the desalination plant; 16% of the cost, is needed to build a 10 mile
pipeline to transport the desalinated water from the coast to the regional water distribution system;
8% of the cost, is needed for indirect costs associated with water system improvements, including
relining and rehabilitating a 5.5 mile section of the distribution pipeline and modifying treatment
plants to accommodate desalinated water flows; and finally 22% of the total cost, is needed to
finance the project.
In addition to the capital costs, operating and maintaining these facilities would cost an additional
estimate of $50 million each year, states the WPA. These costs, with the exception of the cost to
finance the project, will be finalized in the water purchase agreement that must be approved by
the Water Authority s Board of Directors. Financing will be secured after the water purchase
agreement is signed, and once this is secured, the cost to finance the project will be determined.
The unit cost of water is determined by dividing the annual capital and operating and maintenance
costs by the amount of water of produced. In 2002, Poseidon estimated that the unit cost of water
would be $800 per acre foot. In the initial contracts with local water agencies, Poseidon agreed to
sell desalinated water at the same price that

When children learn to read, the process can appear to be straightforward. We tend to view
reading as a typical learning process that all children learn and can do with ease since it appears
that everyone learns to read in elementary school. However, when evaluating the reading process, it
becomes complex with specific skills that must be learned in a systematic organized method. The
systematic part is essential because one skill set builds upon the other. These systematic organized
parts of readingare divided into what is known as the Big 5. Reutzel and Cooter educates the
reader that, ?the following aspects of literacy have been documented as an instructional essentials
in the aforementioned federal research reports by the National Early Literacy panel, 2008, [where
is the list of the big five can be found are]: Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and
comprehension?(p.16). When trying to decide on instruction for literacy in elementary school,
there are a lot of reading programs and materials available, however they should contain Phonemic
awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension as key components. At the elementary
level, three observations were observed through the concepts of phonemic awareness, phonics and
comprehension to determine how this instruction is provided to the students. In addition, an
interview was conducted with a veteran teacher in Kindergarten to gather her insight into the
beginning stages of the reading process. All

14. Natural Selection Misinterpretation Paper
In topic 1, the introduction to human uniqueness and social coercion theory, we are introduced to
some of the common misinterpretation behind Charles Darwin s theory of evolution, specifically in
regards to natural selection and survival of the fittest. One of the biggest contributors to this issue
is the lack of exposure to the general public on the overall theory behind these two processes.
Instead of a full detailed explanation about natural selectionand survival of the fittest, we are just
told that it is slow and that to be fit means a level of superiority among competition, respectively.
Topic 1 revealed that this is not true, as well as stating that natural selection is about individual risk,
benefit and cost is of the utmost importance(Bingham). Based on this newly found insight from the
course, how does individual risk, benefit, and cost play such an important role in natural selection
even though selection is seen in a population and not a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a student, I built a parameter that caused me to believe that an equation or a theory had a set
goal to achieve and must provide a push in order to reach it. Natural selection completely breaks
this barrier due to its passive and ubiquitous nature (True 2016). Natural selection does not evoke
any force on any species to evolve nor does it create genetic variation. The individual, through
mutations, risks, and understanding the benefit allow for the process of natural selection to work.
At first, I also questioned how could an individual s action have anything to do with natural
selection. I learned that an individual s gene does not change, therefore an individual can not adapt
(True 2016). Although this is true, if a deeper look is taken into the world and some of the ways
evolution occurs, the individual is of the utmost importance in causing natural

In Joseph Conrads work, Heart of Darkness, many characters fall victim to insanity caused by the

their encounter with the foreign landscape and people. Among these few include the chief
accountant of the Outer Station, the foreman of mechanics, the manager of the Central Station, and
Marlow. It was not by chance that these men are able to retain their sanity. Each one of these
individuals had an occupation, background, lifestyle, or intellect that worked in their favor
throughout their stay in the Congo. One of the first men introduced to Marlow upon his arrival to
the Outer Station is the company s chief accountant. Not only is he impeccably dressed, but he is
devoted entirely to his paperwork. Marlow immediately observes, He was devoted to his books,
which were in apple pie order (Conrad 46). The accountant s drive and nature of work are what
occupy his time and keep him from losing his mind amidst the dark and menacing jungle. His
stationary and indoor occupation prevent him from getting lost mentally and physically in the
horrors of the jungle. His lack of exposure to the environmentallows him to maintain his civility,

Scientists examine how the world works by making observations, taking measurements, and testing
whether their ideas are supported by evidence. We pay attention to what is happening around us and
try to understand it. When we think we understand how two things relate to each other, we design
an experiment. In this paper, I m going to talk about whether astrologyand horoscope predictions
are supposed to be accurate. There are a number of people in our society who put some faith in
astrology. Astrology is the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial objects as a
means for divining information about human affairs and terrestrial events, and horoscope is based
on the Ptolemaic system that the earth is stationary, and moves around the sun in fixed patterns.
Astrology divides the sky into twelve sections, with the different sign of the zodiac based on the
mythological characteristics of the heavenly bodies (Aries, Leo, Aquarius, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo,
Libra, Pisces, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Gemini, and Scorpio). Some astrologers believe that time of

birth. Most people reads a prediction that something interesting would happen, they will looking
forward for that to happen, somehow they have a convenience then that event is on the way. By
this cased, they might think that the predicted of astrology was true. This may be a little harsh

The final phase of the profit planning process was a top management meeting which brought
together Jacques, the three regional vice presidents, and the finance and technical officers to
discuss new growth opportunities. A lot of time and face to face contact was devoted to the
profit plan and, once approved, it was the guiding tool to monitor and evaluate performance.
During the summer months, each region generated a profit statement every two weeks that
Jacques reviewed to detect major problems. In addition, Jacques spent a week in each region to
get a feel for the market. At the end of October, another top management meeting occurred to
learn from the year s experience and schedule winter activities to prepare for the next season. In
early December, Jacques handed bonus checks to the three regional managers. Top line revenue
goals for the upcoming year were established using past growth rates and the market expectations
of Jacques and the regional managers. Exchanging knowledge and experiences was a key element
in shaping the growth assumptions of the profit plan. For 2009, the expected volume growth was
9% for the French region, 10% for the Spanish region, and 12% for the Italian region. Since 2005,

23. Analysis Of Summer Life By Gary Soto
In Summer Life , Gary Soto takes the reader through a guilt filled day from his childhood. He
describes himself at 6 years old stealing a pie. Utilizing Biblical allusions, Vivid Imagery, and an
immaculate diction
Summer Life starts and ends with biblical allusions, giving the reader exposition without literally
describing Soto s upbringing and values. He knows enough about hell and is holy in every bone
, letting us infer that he comes from a very religious family and likely attends Sunday school.
This gives us the reason why he is so nervous before stealing it and why he becomes consumed
by guilt later. It s not just wrong on an ethical level in society, but it is a sin, something that can
grant eternal damnation to hell. So as the juice of guilt drips down his body and he becomes
increasingly anxious, he thinks about the flowery dust priests give off and god watching him.
As he steals the pie and runs away, his religious background haunts him. He describes a squirrel
nailed to a tree, alluding to Jesus Christ being nailed to the cross. He remembers bible lessons
about Adam and Eve saying, I Knew an apple got eve in trouble with snakes . As he indulges and
finishes his pie, Soto tries to forget his sinful act throwing his frisbee around with a shadow like
the shadow of an angel escaping bad deeds . He climbs underneath his house listening to the
howling sound of plumbing comparing it to God or a relative from the other side . He then
concludes that he knew was what you took and didn t give back ending this passage with a last call
to sin and the bible.
Imagery works in tandem with the allusions in this narrative to really portray a detailed picture
in the reader s mind. As soon as Soto is in the market he thinks of which pie to pick with his
sweet tooth gleaming . Perhaps portraying a small kid with a big smile and hunger in his eyes. He
hurries across the street escaping the market without being caught. Soto utilizes the word sycamore
when describing the sun shining through the trees between the branches of the yellowish
sycamore . This word being an elevated way of referring to trees gives off an eerie feeling as
following this is the allusion to Christ on the cross. When Soto finally

his photography was outstanding especially of the great outdoors. After going through the pain

the outdoors. Even though he is an amazing artist he did marvelous work in the American West.
He was more than just a photographer he also did some work as a painter in his early and later
parts of his career. William Henry Jacksonwas also a publisher like most artists are. But, he was
always a lover of art. Early in his career at the age of 19 in 1862 he joined as a private in
Company K of the 12th Vermont Infantry of the Union Army. He served during the American
Civil War for about nine months and during his time he fought in a major battle, which was the
Battle of Gettysburg. He spent most of his time sketching during his time in the army. He was
assigned to guarding a supply train. In 1863 his regiment was dismissed. William Henry Jackson
was well known for his photographyof the American West. The reason he did photography about
the American West was because in 1866 his brother and William took a Union Pacific Railroad
train to the last stop which was near Nebraska. He then got a job as a bullwhacker on a wagon
train. This company traveled along the Oregon Trail. In Omaha he open up a photography business

25. Female Characters In Peter Pan
The Repression of Female Characters in Peter Pan
At first glance, J. M. Barrie s Peter Pan appears to be an innocent literary depiction of a young
boy who wishes to never grow up thus, remaining a child. Peter Pan, the story s main protagonist,
poses as the mischievous and youthful boy who spends his eternal life seeking adventures and
leading the Lost Boys through the make believe island, Neverland. Peter acquires the company of a
young British girl by the name of Wendy Darlingand her two little brothers, John and Michael
Darling. In the company of the British children, Pan travels back to Neverland to primarily utilise
Wendy for her motherly expertise. Further inquiry and literary analysis of the 1904 novel leads
readers to believe there is more to the story than what can be seen at first glance. Peter Pan is one of
many novels subject to feminist literary criticism; the novel displays an array of male characters
with very few female characters to contrast. Furthermore, female characters can be seen as passive,
and frequently submit to paternal authority. In Peter Pan, women are assigned specific roles that
mirror the responsibilities of those in the Victorian Era. The demeaning and gender stereotypical
interpretation of women coupled with the encouragement of male dominance places the story under
criticism for its subjugation of women. In essence, the female characters are subject to the gender
stereotypes and societal norms of the Victorian era in which they are

27. Persuasive Essay On Childhood Obesity
A Deeper Look into Childhood Obesity The percentage of children with obesity in the United
States has more than tripled since the 1970s ( Healthy Schools. ). Childhood obesity is a
medical condition that affects children and teenagers who contain excess body fat. This
condition is very common today, having about 3 million cases per year ( Healthy Schools. ). A
sign that a child is suffering from obesity is when their weight is well above the average for a
child s height and age. Today about one in five school children, ages 6 19, are obese ( Healthy
Schools. ). I will be addressing the causes, health complications, treatments, controversy, and
supporting obese students. First and foremost, the most common causes of childhood obesity
are genetic factors, overeating, and not exercising enough. Although obesity may run in a
family, it does not determine whether a child will be obese or not ( Obesity in Children ). If a
child who comes from a family of obesity, happens to become overweight like them, the likely
cause is due to bad eating and activity habits. Many children today spend more time inside the
house eating and watching television, rather than being active outdoors ( Obesity in Children ).
This is due to the recent popularity of having electronics such as television, games, and phones
serve as entertainment. Another reason for the excessive eating is because parents are often too
busy to cook healthy foods on a regular basis, leaving children to rely on fast food or

30. The Pros And Cons Of Postal Service
Hence, they try to get involved in generating revenue by infringing on net neutrality principles.
They prioritize data packets from certain sites, which are ready to pay for this service.
For an analogy, postal service officials don t read the letters they are delivering. For a common
service, is it possible for them to read the letter and decide if they are going to deliver the packet or
not? Is it ethical for a postman to priorities a mail delivery by taking bribe from the sender?
For another analogy, roads treat all commuters equally. They don t charge differentially based on
what vehicles are carrying or what the destination is. Roads or vehicle registration authority may
charge more for bigger vehicles since they damage the roads more. But going by the same analogy,
ISPs can charge differently to heavy usage customers. By no means they have the right to inspect
the data internet packets.
Another analogy is of electricity service. Power distribution authority doesn t charge variably by
looking into what people are using the energy for. They may charge variably based on amount of
energy usage. The same can be done by ISPs to increase revenue or control congestion. They can
charge more to the people for consuming more data thus managing congestion and increasing
profitability.
Competition is the mother of invention. By prioritizing data packets coming from certain sites,
ISPs are hindering the competition. New market players generally do not have a budget to pay

31. Examples Of Authority When Attending A Catholic Mass
Whether we recognize authority or not it is extremely relevant in all forms of society. In everyday
situations subordinates submit to authority. Many scholars, such as Milgram, Weber and Durkheim,
have formulated theories surrounding the idea of authority and obedience. In order to visualize
these situations of authorityin society, my partner and I recorded observations of authority when
attending a Catholic mass. Our study took place at Newman Hall Holy Spirit Parish, located in
Berkeley California in a quaint, quiet, neighborhood. There, we observed the interactions of a priest
for an hour and thirty minutes. We began by viewing how he interacted with members of the church
for the first fifteen minutes before the service began. Then we... Show more content on

To Milgram, obedience occurs when the subject complies with the entire series of commands, if he
rejects one command then the subject is disobedient. Milgram discovered that the proximity of the
authority figure to the subject, greatly effected their willingness to obey. He concluded that
obedience sharply increases, as the experimenter is physically in the room with the subject. The
results from his study also demonstrate that physical presence of an authority is an important force
contributing to the subject s obedience or defiance...manipulation of the experimenter s position
yielded more powerful results (Milgram, 1965). This is in contrast to the proximity to the subject
to the victim. Finally, in order to test the importance of background authority, he conducted the
same experiment in a commercial building in Bridgeport, instead of at Yale University. By doing
this, he discovered that the location of the experiment did not matter much because, subjects may
consider one laboratory to be as competent as another, so long as it is a scientific lab (Milgram,
1965). As previously mentioned, a reoccurring

32. Significances Of Total Solar Eclipses
A Total Solar Eclipse occurs when the visible portion of our Moon covers the visible portion of our
sun, causing it to seem like a white ring with a black center, causing an extremely unique view of
our sun and Moon. The Total Solar Eclipse can only be seen from a few points in the world, in the
umbral shadow. Most people in the world will only see a partial Solar Eclipse, where the Moonwill
only cover a portion of the sun, due to the fact that they re in the penumbral. While not as unique,
it s still a rare sight to behold. The reason Solar Eclipses are so rare to begin with is due to the
special coincidence of the Moon and sun being the same size to our eyes. While our sun is 400
times the size of our Moon, our sun is also 400 times farther away, causing them to appear the
same size in our sky.
As previously stated, you can only see a Total Solar Eclipse from an umbral shadow, which is the
darkest part of the shadow cast on the Earth. This only happens when the Moon Totally covers the
sun, but this is not the only factor. The Moon also has to be close to, or at the point of perigee,
the point of the Moon s orbit closest to Earth. The penumbral shadow is only visible when the
Moon only partly obscures the Sun s disk, causing a partial Solar Eclipse, but there are still
more. There s the Annular Solar Eclipse, which is similar to a Total Solar Eclipse, but the Moon
is too small to completely cover the sun, and the Sun s outer edges remain visible to form a ring
of fire in the sky. This can only happen when the Moon is near to, or at the point of apogee, the
point of the Moon s orbit farthest from Earth, and can only be seen from the Moon s antumbra.
The last type of eclipse, Hybrid Solar Eclipses, also known as annular Total eclipses, are the rarest
type. This only occurs when a Solar Eclipse changes between a Total Solar Eclipse and an Annular
Solar Eclipse along it s path.
According to the article What Are Solar Eclipses? on the website timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar

perfect or near perfect straight line an alignment astronomers call syzygy. This happens around New

sub genres that are usually emerged are, dystopia, invasion and visitation, space opera, time

genre dystopia is a society vision of the world in the future, where it is very bleak and dismal.

Invasion and visitations is a sub genre that is trying to give answers to satisfy you curiosity on

34. Essay on The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper
The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper
Introduction
I think that no doctrine inside Christianity was as arguably and problematic as the doctrine of the
Lord s Supper (Eucharistic). Not only that century old fighting s is going on around the text: This is
my body (1.Cor.11:24) between Roman Catholics and Protestants, but there is nonconformity
regarding the question among Protestants themselves. The first notification of the Lord s Supper
set a division among Christ s disciples, as they were shocked when Christ told them about the
suffering that He must go through, so they said: This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it? (John
6,60). The cause of this fighting is based on a question of understanding the nature of Christ s

The church itself, which participates sacramentaly in making individuals into Christians, realizes its
own being as church in the Eucharist.
To this statement I would add the words of professor Janos Pasztor: The sacrament of Lord s
Supper is not only an addition to the Church, but it is an energy of the Church that binds a
humanity with the Kingdom of God that will come.
In order to understand the meaning of Lord s Supper when we talk about Eschatology we will
talk about the Passover because Lord s Supper lies on its grounds. We will see what was the goal
in Christ s choosing the Passover to establish the Lord s Supper. First part of this paper will talk
about Passover in the Old Testament (its establishment, celebration and meaning) and in the New
Testament. In the second part we will talk about the Lord s Supper, its establishment, meaning,
names and connection with the Kingdom of God. Since the relationship between Lord s Supper
and Kingdom of God is faintly investigated, it would require much more space then we are able to
use in this paper, so because of the limited space we will concentrate on the, in my opinion, most
important elements.
The Passover in the Old Testament
The Passover is for the first time mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 12. In this chapter one event
is described which is placed before the Israelis coming out from the Egyptian bondage. In the Bible
we read (Genesis 46) that Jacob on a call of his son Joseph came to Egypt and

36. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Open Range Vs Factory Farming
Factory or Open Range Most people thinks of a farms as a place where people shove as many
different kind of livestock in a small area to make the most for the space they ve. This isn t true in
most cases of farming, and for the few factories that process to run this way makes the other farms
that produces a large amount of livestocklooks as if they are using the same technicians. Factory
farmingand open range farming are two completely different ways of growing and rising
livestock. I have raised livestock for 7 years now as well learned everything I know about
livestock from a family who have been farming for 6 generations. Factory farms have larger
numbers in smaller space when open range is more space per animal two different ways of
raising animals yet, neither of these technically wrong way of producing. Reputations have always
caused ways of life to look worse then what really happens. To be a factory farmis when you have a

Even thought this makes a leaner, healthier hog, the consumers comely believe their isn t enough

amount of space as the farmer who farms factory style they will have less product due to more

Paternal leave is an employee benefit available to paid time off work to care for their children.
Paternal leave is also call parental leave or family leave include maternity, paternity, and adoption

Stroke:
A stroke is a sudden loss of brain function. It is caused by the interruption of flow of blood to the
brain (ischemic stroke) or the rupture of blood vessels in the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). The
interruption of blood flow or the rupture of blood vessels causes brain cells (neurons) in the
affected area to die.
The effects of a stroke depend on where the brain was injured, as well as how much damage
occurred. A stroke can impact any number of areas including your ability to move, see, remember,

42. Anna Of Byzantium Essay
Is power a strength or weakness? Power is defined in the Merriam Webster dictionary as the
ability to do something or act in a particular way. My definition of power is being able to uphold
responsibility. In chapter 24 page 196 it states, you choked with the silence of spiritual discipline,
and with the streams of your tears, you watered the entire desert . This refers to how in the
Byzantine Empireyou are raised to hide your emotions from the world this is a weakness because
you suffer internally, this is also a strength because by hiding your emotions you show no
weakness to other empires. Tracy Barrett writer of Anna of Byzantium has an M.A. and Ph.D. in
Medieval Italian Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Bachelor
s Degree with honors in Classics Archaeology from Brown University. Her interest in ancient and
medieval worlds led to her become an author of historical books. She received a grant from the
National Endowment for the Humanities to study medieval women writers which led to the writing
of her first novel, the award winning Anna of Byzantium. In Anna of Byzantium they discuss the
interactions of the social classes throughout the book. Take Maria to our chamber... Sophia

To compare these two file formats properly, I loaded them both into my iTunes and put them side
by side so I could easily click from one to the other. I did this because it is very hard for me to
remember the differences between two versions of the same song without hearing the exact same
part immediately after each other. Luckily for me, this song has some very distinct changes
between its mp3file and its wav file. However, when I began listening to the mp3 file I had
trouble hearing it properly which led me to have to fiddle with volume knobs. When I then
loaded the wav file I was completely blown away by the brightness and fullness of the sound as
opposed to the trouble I had with the mp3 format. I really felt like I was apart of the performance...

does. Reverberation is the one sound aspect that I can hear pretty consistently since it is the
continuation of a sound that can obviously be heard and counted after the beginning of the note. I

44. Effective Communication, And Conflict Management
Patient safety is a top priority for all healthcare providers. Yet medical errors are ranked the eighth
leading cause of death. Medication administration errors often result from multiple environmental
and individual factors (Yoder, Schadewald, Dietrich, 2015, p. 140). Nurses are faced with several
interruptions including other health care professionals, patients, and family members.
Environmental factors such as: phone calls, call lights, alarms, malfunctioning equipment, and
emergency situations can distract the nurseand prevent the nurse from administrating medications
successfully. Research has shown that the most interruptions were from conversations with other
personnel or stopping to do another patient care task (Yoder et al., 2015). The purpose of our paper
is to discuss how collaboration, effective communication, and conflict management can improve the
nursing medication administration process by both the intraprofessional and the interprofessional
teams. The intraprofessional team is comprised of nurses that work on the unit and nurses who
work on other units who may try to communicate with the nurse who is administering medications.
The interprofessional team is made up of patient care technicians, the unit secretary, physicians, and
other disciplines such as physical therapy, social work, pharmacy, and case management. The
interprofessional team can also distract or disrupt the nurse trying to administer medications by
asking about another patient being

45. The Vietnam War Was A Gruesome War That Left Many Soldiers
The Vietnam War was a gruesome war that left many soldiers reeling in constant psychological
turmoil not only in the years of the war, but in the years following the war as well. The terrifying
events that occurred in Vietnam forced the soldiers to become different people with only one thing
on their mind, survival. In Tim O Brien s novel The Things They Carried, it is seen how the war
negatively impacted the soldiers of the Alpha Company and changed their personalities severely.
One of the main changes that is seen in the men is the loss of innocence that accompanies them as
they move through the war. In times of war, boundaries are crossed and morals are thrown out the
windows. The dangerous situations that the men are thrust into cause... Show more content on

At first, as Kiley interacts with the water buffalo, he seems friendly towards the animal, offering
it food and petting it. His interaction with the animal soon changes however as he begins to
physically assault and shoot the young water buffalo. In the passage, O Brien describes that
Kiley went automatic , (O Brien 75) harming the buffalo in every possible way before breaking
down. I believe that this situation shows a loss of innocence because under normal
circumstances, a regular person would not have killed the animal for no reason. After the buffalo
has died, Mitchell Saunders says, Well that s Nam. Garden of Evil. Over here, man, every sin s
real fresh and original (O Brien 75). This quote reflects Kiley s loss of innocence because he is
committing a sin that is horrific and unnecessary in nature all due to the death of a friend. It also
shows that Kiley had no sense of control in this situation because hatred overcame him due to the
death of Lemon. Scholar Rosalind Poppleton Pritchard also believes that the slaying of the buffalo
was done in part of Kiley s personal agony.
The baby buffalo and Rat are united in their dumb anguish: Rat has no way of articulating the pain
he feels through language; it is an animal instinct, a response to signal, and he maims the creature in
an almost suicidal attempt to end his own suffering (Poppleton Pritchard 4).

Myelomeningocele which is where the baby s spine doesn t completely close. With this
condition, a sac of fluid comes through an opening in the baby s back. Part of the spinal cord
and nerves are in this sac and are damaged. This type of spina bifida causes moderate to severe
disabilities. (CDC) The next type is meningocele this has some similarities to the first type with
the sac but with this the spine isn t in the sac, this type will only have some minor disabilities.
The final type is Spina Bifida Occulta which is the more mild out of the three. This is where
there is only a small gap in the baby s back with no sac. This is harder to find in infants usually is
isn t even discovered until people are young adults, not many disabilities are caused by this type.

co living with the untouchables and the resistance he faced for that is discussed. His views on

Proper and applicable assessment measures are the foundation to evidence based assessments. For
psychologists, it is critical to choose the best assessment tools that can provide the most reliable and
valid measures to give accurate suggestions about the most relevant intervention procedures.
Application of psychometrically valid tools and significant data assembly is decisive for optimal
intervention at the early stages of the diagnosis of the AutismSpectrum Disorder. Over the past
twenty years, researchers on Autism have made notable findings in comprehending prevalence rates
and creating accurate assessments to gather current diagnostic criterion. A significant increase in
the prevalence rate of ASD has led researchers to make further inquiries about the precision of the
tests used to assist in the diagnosis of autism.
The Childhood Autism Rating Scale, Second Edition (CARS 2) is a 15 item rating scale used to
identify children with autism and differentiating them from those with other developmental

52. Hotspur Metaphors
In Shakespeare s Henry IV, Part 1, Hotspur, the most talented young warrior in England, leads a
rebellion against King Henry IV while, Hal, the king s seemingly lazy, indifferent son and heir to
the throne, fights against Hotspur for the throne. Hal and Hotspur have a similar ideology as seen
in their common metaphors; however, Hal speaks with various extended metaphors, biblical
allusions, and strategically places his use of verse and prose while Hotspur speaks with simpler
metaphors, war imagery, and mainly speaks in verse. Shakespeare emphasizes these speech patterns
to demonstrate Hal s ability to manipulate the world to his benefit and Hotspur s extremely volatile
sensibility, and thus, proves Hal to be more qualified to rule than Hotspur.
Hal and Hotspur share some of the same metaphors, most notably, their common use of debt as a
metaphor for honor and responsibility, which indicates how they both see these values in a
mercantile fashion. In Hal s first soliloquy, he says he will pay the debt I never promised
(I.2.77), a reference to his plan to act like a drunken thief, so when he becomes king, he will
seem like a greater leader. Hal saying he will pay the debt , or him being an effective king,
displays how he thinks that he can easily exchange his immature behavior for honor and that
being a good king can instantly buy the favor of the people. Also, the word debt implies that Hal
believes that the king has an important obligation to be honorable to the kingdom. Hotspur also
uses the metaphor, saying King Henry IV Studies day and night / To answer all the debt he owes
to you / Even with the bloody payment of your deaths (I.3.184 186). Because Hotspur s father and
uncle helped King Henry take the throne, Hotspur believes that the king has a responsibility to treat
them well, which he does not fulfill. This illustrates how Hotspur also views honor as a transaction:
when given, it must be repaid. Both Hal and Hotspur believe that honor can be exchanged like
goods, and they view honor, like debt, as a responsibility that must be maintained, indicating they
understand the importance of honor in society.
Hal and Hotspur share a similar ideology, but Hal s elevated language portrays him as more

company s main concern, it also confirms that they are accomplishing what they are promising.
Although McDonald s do work very intensively with CSR, with their core value being Committed

the company has its own CSR, they are not able to prescribe CSR sustainability solutions for them .
