previous lesson or
presenting the new
lesson
The teacher ask student volunteer to lead the opening prayer in class.
The teacher greets the class and gives the word to ponder of the day.
Teaching Strategy 1: Word of the Day
*(Integration of Vocabulary and Verbal Skills in English)
Waves
The teacher acknowledges students idea about the word WAVES. The teacher
begins the rapport of the new lesson by launching the idea what does it means
when understanding concepts on waves.
One student leads the prayer.
The students greeted their
teacher and classmates in
class.
The students are asks to give
their ideas on waves.
One student raises his hand
and give an idea on waves. The
other student gives waves on
the other meaning.
B. Establishing a
purpose for the lesson
As the class begins to link opening activity and the new lesson, the teacher posted
the lesson objectives to the class and let his students read the target objectives for
the class session.

Teaching Strategy 2: Spell to Mean It
*( Integration of Spelling in English and mga saling-salita sa Filipino)
The teacher will distributed the printed individual letters in class. Each students
must have one letter for them to participate. The activity is a collaborative activity
and it involve the whol class. The teacher will read a phrases or a situation and
tagged a words to be spelled by the whole class using their individiul letters and let
the teacher make the saling-salita or a Filipino word translation.
Waves- ALON
Frequency- DALAS
Sunlight- SIKAT NG ARAW
Wavelength- HABA NG DALUYONG
Rainbow- BAHAGHARI
Vibration- PANGINGINIG
The students are given 10 seconds to formulate and composed the words to spell-
out in class and let all the students spell it out aloud.
The students are also given time to take down notes of the words and the
translation in their Science Notebook for their reference. (8 minutes)
The students will get their
chosen letters and actively
participated the activity.
The students noted the words
in their Science Notebook.

skills
Teaching Strategy 4: Experiential Learning-based Activity
*(Integration of Arts in MAPEH through conceptual drawing on the transfer of Energy
and Optics in Physical Science through hands-on activity of how light travels in a
medium)
After the teacher discusses the nature of the electromagnetic waves and its effect to
a given medium, the teacher divide the class into 2 groups and provided with the
materials and the activity sheets for them to accomplish the task for 10 minutes.
In each group they are instructed to perform the activity on how electromagnetic
waves and energy travels through absorption, reflection, refraction and
transmission.
The teacher is roaming around in each group to see output improvement and
assists students on the said activity.
The students organized their
respective groupings and let
them assign their members
roles for the activity.
Each of the groups is working
harmoniously with their
output.
F. Developing mastery
(Leads to Formative
Assessment)
Teaching Strategy 5: Socratic Method Presentation
*(Integration of Oral Fluency in English through output presentation in class and
Araling Panlipunan through efficiency on utilization of an appliances)
The teacher will give a situational problem to each group and let the group
consolidates their answers as a group and come up with a brief explanation on
how electromagnetic wave and energy pass through a medium. (2 minutes)
The teacher will be calling someone in class to give and share their ideas and
Each group seriously discuss
within their members on how
they answer the situational
problem.

WAVES
The teacher gives an inspiring acknowledgement of everybody’s active participation
in the class session. The teacher gives a deeper meaning and understanding on the
concept of waves and relates it to ever day’s activity. Being into this challenging
world, we need to be susceptible to change and be buoyant to life challenges. Like
waves, we need to sail across deep oceans and conquers the seas. Like the waves,
we need to be that attitude of being resilient and vigilant on the storms that will
come in our lives. Like waves we should have the frequencies of life when to react
and counteract on different situations that our lives will be taken and soaring to.
Thus, as a students, you should be that waves who conquers all the challenges as
a learner and rise for self-development.
The students will be
enlightened with their
understanding and internally
digested the words of wisdom of
the day.
