Write the LC Code for each
Use listening strategies based on purpose, familiarity with the topic and levels of difficulty of short texts listened to (EN7LC-II-a-6)
Students are expected to:
a. identify the two categories of listening strategy
b. apply the two strategies by understanding what has listened to; and
c. appreciate the importance of listening by analyzing a short text listened to.

Begin the lesson by eliciting ideas from the students on the importance of listening.
B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson
Let the students perform a listening challenge activity.
C. Presenting examples/instances of
the new lesson
Before listening to the text, let the students fill in the blank under Pre-listening with the words you can think of, that are related to the given
keywords. Fill in the post-listening column after the text has been listened to.
Let the students answer the comprehensions questions based on the listening activity. (Refer to Attachment)
D. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #1

Listening strategies are techniques or activities that contribute directly to the comprehension and recall of listening output. They can be
classified by how the listener processes the input.
