This document describes a new LED fluorescence illumination system called the D-LEDI. It has the following key features: - It is equipped with four types of LEDs (385nm, 475nm, 550nm, and 621nm) that can be individually controlled or used simultaneously. - Intensity of each wavelength can be controlled through software while maintaining intensity ratios between wavelengths. Emission can also be synchronized with image acquisition. - As it does not require bulb replacement, it is maintenance-free with the LEDs having a lifespan of around 20,000 hours. - The LEDs are precisely aligned so no centering is needed unlike mercury lamp sources. - It can be directly
