What is Storytelling?
Storytelling is the art of
telling a story. The
creation and use of a
magical atmosphere
through the story.
Digital storytelling is simply applying one’s creative idea in a manner that allows him or
her to add multimedia (video, images, and audio) to their voice.
What is Digital Storytelling?
• Focus on a specific topic or
point of view.
• Expure time vary in lenght
(most often 2 – 10 minutes).
• Can be used for any topic
(history, personal narrative,
math, retelling a story, etc.)
The Seven Elements
of Digital
Storytelling.

 Stories are told to make a point, they are not
just facts.
 Pay attention to this:
 “What will be the point of your story?”

 You want to ask the daramatic question as you
open your story…
 And answer by the time you end your tale.

 This give to a chance to literally speak to the
audience, and convey your message in a clear and

 Think about, if you:
 “Change the music… change the emotion.”
