Steps in digital marketing include acquiring customers through search engines, email, affiliates and more; converting them through usability, customer support and promotions; retaining customers through loyalty programs and personalization; and measuring and optimizing through analytics and monitoring. Digital marketing allows for flexibility, measurability, quick changes and targeting of specific consumers.
