encompassing the specific activity of a business
promoting its products or services, usually on a
relatively short-term basis. In the early stages of

is often a broad process focusing on general
appeal rather than a targeted strategy.

Digital marketing is a more long-term strategy
for promoting products and services that
includes every aspect of marketing online, from
choosing a company logo and brand name to
distributing targeted advertisements to a specific
demographic, creating blog posts, engaging with
social media, and all other forms of online activity.
The digital marketing strategy of a business will
evolve over time but will be in place from day one
until the dissolution of the business.
