A digipak is a type of CD or DVD case made of card with 4 to 8 panels that fold up to form the finished case. They are more environmentally friendly than traditional jewel cases and emphasize the album or film artwork over the plastic casing. Digipaks contain a plastic tray or hub to hold the disc and come in various sizes, including tall versions for DVDs called DVDigipaks. They have become a preferred way to package music and video products.
