1) Electric power generation within distribution networks or on the customer side of the network, as connected to the distribution network or customer site.
2) The location is the key defining factor, not the power rating or technology of the DG source.
3) There is no consensus on DG power ratings in literature, and the connection capacity depends on each unique distribution system, so rating is not critical to the definition.
