LOCATION- Columbia institute of engineering and technology, Raipur
LOCATION
INTRODUCTION
A sports building is a group of sports facilities. For example,
there are two badminton court, two table tennis court, two carom
hall and gym etc. are provided in our project. In July, 2007,
Columbia institute of engineering and technology Raipur
Chhattisgarh began construction of one of the largest and most
modern recreation institute center of its kind in the Chhattisgarh.
Our institute are provided many types of facilities such as
canteen, library etc. The size of library are better than, as
compare to the another college in Chhattisgarh. But in our college
have no any sport facility. So we want to provide sport facility in
our college campus in the form of sport building.

a. Bleachers
b. Storage facilities
c. Handicapped
3 . Soil conditions
4 . MM dimensions
PLANNING AND DESIGNING
Some general planning and design considerations are listed
below to complement the specific information found in this
manual for each sport.

FOUNDATION
Foundation of a structure is the part
of the structure which transfers the load to the soil
on which it rests. It forms a very important part of
the structure. The ground surface in contact with
the lower surface of the foundation is called the
base of the foundation.
FOUNDATION
A. SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS
The Geotechnical Investigation has provided guidance for the
detailed design of the foundations of the proposed Structures Shallow
foundation construction will utilize this data.
B. DEEP FOUNDATIONS
Compressive soils have been determined to constitute a
consideration in the design of foundations. The Recommendations of the
Geotechnical Investigation will be utilized in the detailed design of all
foundations.

COLUMN
DEFINITION
A column is a vertical linear structural element in a construction
that mostly endures pressure and loads of structure.

Various specification of column in our project are as show in fig.

What is beam ?
A beam is a structural member used for bearing loads.
It is typically used for resisting vertical loads, shear &
moment.

DEFINITION
A flat piece of concrete ,put on the walls or
columns of a structure its serves as a walking surface but may also
serve as a load bearing member ,as in slab homes.

STAIRCASE
Staircase is an important component of a building
providing access to deferent floors and roof of the building. It
consists of a flight of steps and one or more intermediate loading
slabs between the floors levels deferent. types of staircase can
be made by arranging stairs and loading slabs .staircase ,thus, is a
structure enclosing a stair. The design of the man components of
a staircase –stair , landing slab and supporting beam or wall are
already covered in earlier lessons.

SPECIFICATION OF HALLS
1 . BADMINTON HALL
A . In this hall contain two badminton court.
B . Size of badminton hall is 24.481X20M
C . Size of each court is 13.42X6.71M
D . ladies and gents changing room is also attached
with this hall.
E . The size of changing room is 3.0X3.0M
2. TABLE TENNIS
A . size of this hall is 8.5X7.5.M
B . In this hall contain five no. of windows for ventilation
purpose.
C . 4m radius verandah are attached of this hall.
3 . CARROM HALL
A . The size of carrom hall is 8.5X7.5M
B . In this hall 6 NO. of carrom board are available.
C . In which 4 no. of windows are consist for ventilation
purpose.
D . And verandah are also attached of this hall.
4 . GYM HALL
A . Size of gym hall is 8.5X7.5M
B . In which also consist 5 no. of windows for ventilation
purpose.
C . 4m radius verandah is attached of this hall.
5 . OFFICE AND STORE ROOM
A . The size of office room is 8.5X3.89.
B . In office room consist 3 no. of windows.
C . The store room is attached with office room.
D . Size of store room is 7.21X3.4.
E . The water cooler is attached with store room.
and the verandah is attached with store room.
The project work was a great success . We have learnt
lots of important thinks about construction. The guideline
provided by the engineers regarding real construction
was very informative. A project can only be achieved
satisfactorily through a comfortable relationship between
very many people, with many different personal or
collective objective.

  • 6. INTRODUCTION A sports building is a group of sports facilities. For example, there are two badminton court, two table tennis court, two carom hall and gym etc. are provided in our project. In July, 2007, Columbia institute of engineering and technology Raipur Chhattisgarh began construction of one of the largest and most modern recreation institute center of its kind in the Chhattisgarh. Our institute are provided many types of facilities such as canteen, library etc. The size of library are better than, as compare to the another college in Chhattisgarh. But in our college have no any sport facility. So we want to provide sport facility in our college campus in the form of sport building. PURPOSE SCOPE

  • 9. FOUNDATION Foundation of a structure is the part of the structure which transfers the load to the soil on which it rests. It forms a very important part of the structure. The ground surface in contact with the lower surface of the foundation is called the base of the foundation. FOUNDATION

SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS The Geotechnical Investigation has provided guidance for the detailed design of the foundations of the proposed Structures Shallow foundation construction will utilize this data. B. DEEP FOUNDATIONS Compressive soils have been determined to constitute a consideration in the design of foundations. The Recommendations of the Geotechnical Investigation will be utilized in the detailed design of all foundations. we are provided shallow foundation

It consists of a flight of steps and one or more intermediate loading slabs between the floors levels deferent. types of staircase can be made by arranging stairs and loading slabs .staircase ,thus, is a structure enclosing a stair. The design of the man components of a staircase –stair , landing slab and supporting beam or wall are already covered in earlier lessons.

Size of store room is 7.21X3.4. E . The water cooler is attached with store room. and the verandah is attached with store room.

  • 40. The project work was a great success . We have learnt lots of important thinks about construction. The guideline provided by the engineers regarding real construction was very informative. A project can only be achieved satisfactorily through a comfortable relationship between very many people, with many different personal or collective objective. CONCLUSION
