1. INTRODUCTION
Design Engineering is a Subject of All Engineering branch and
Science & Technology Where expects lots of innovation or new creation from
engineers. But today’s education system has become very stereotype and
lengthy which just follows the traditional teaching learning process.
Design Engineering is a general Subject that covers all
engineering disciplines including Electrical engineering, Mechanical
engineering, Chemical engineer, Aeronautical engineer, Civil, Computer
Engineering.
Design Thinking is a methodology used by designers to solve complex
problems, and find desirable solutions for clients. A design mindset is not
problem-focused; its solution focused and action oriented towards creating a
preferred future. Design thinking draws upon logic, imagination, intuition, and
systemic reasoning, to explore possibilities of what could be—and to create
desired outcomes that benefit the end user.
Design Engineering is a Fundamental Of all Engineering.

2. Meaning of AEIOU
Meaning of AEIOU:
A: Activity
E: Environment
I: Interaction
O: Object
U: Users
Understanding the problem& solve this problem of society is one of the
big challenge for engineering student as till now they were making project on
imaginary ideas. On the first day, we got the basic knowledge of design
engineering. What is design engineering and why we need design
engineering? How this subject will be useful to the student? All this questions
has been cleared properly and also that how this activity will be useful in
design engineering.
These are the steps of the project or problem. In this canvas, we have to find
out…
The First Step is,
Find out the site, where occur problem.
1. What is User Problem on the site? How to solve this problem?
2. How is Environment of the site?
By using these all observation we have to make the AEIOU canvas. This
is a basic canvas for our Project or Problem. This canvas has all basic
information about users, activities, environment etc. which will helpful for us
ahead.

3. Empathy Mapping
These are the 2nd step of the Project or Problem. Understanding the
problem of society is one of the big challenges for engineering student as till
now they were making project on imaginary ideas. So this was based on
understanding the domains of the problem in broader sense which
emphasized on interacting with the people of your domain area which
included more of casual talk rather than technical session. And this activity
was named as Story board canvas.
Our domain was Victoria Park, We started with identify the people
related to our domain directly and indirectly. Then list out the activities which
are required for Victoria Park. As we need to focus on people’s emotions we
wrote Happy and Sad Story which helps us to get more attached with user.

4. Ideation Canvas
These are the 3rd step of the project or problem. From the user canvas,
you have an idea what are the people? In ideation canvas, you have to carry
out which type of activities is related to your project and people? What is
situation and location regarding to activities? Then after you find the possible
solutions. It is depend or not depend to your activities.

5. Product Develop Canvas
The 4th step is development of the product. From possible solutions, you
have idea about what is product? Our product is ‘Automatic Street Light and
Automatic Plant Watering System. So in this canvas, following things is to
do.

Customer Revalidation:
Automatic Street Light Implementation in Victoria Park is very good but I
question “it is useful for common people?”
“I don’t think authorities will allow the people to learn during late evening
Time what is the use for your project.
Redesign/Retain:
Our project useful for senior citizen and our project are timer based so, the
street light on evening and street light is off morning.

6. The Mind Mapping
“Mind Map is idea of remember long theory in short term. A mind
map is a graphical way to represent ideas and concepts. It is a visual thinking
tool that helps structuring information, helping you to better analyze,
comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate new ideas.
Mind mapping is a simple technique for drawing information in
diagrams, instead of writing it in sentences.

But today’s education system has become very stereotype and lengthy which just follows the traditional teaching learning process. Design Engineering is a general Subject that covers all engineering disciplines including Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineer, Aeronautical engineer, Civil, Computer Engineering. Design Thinking is a methodology used by designers to solve complex problems, and find desirable solutions for clients. A design mindset is not problem-focused; its solution focused and action oriented towards creating a preferred future. Design thinking draws upon logic, imagination, intuition, and systemic reasoning, to explore possibilities of what could be—and to create desired outcomes that benefit the end user. Design Engineering is a Fundamental Of all Engineering.

Meaning of AEIOU Meaning of AEIOU: A: Activity E: Environment I: Interaction O: Object U: Users Understanding the problem& solve this problem of society is one of the big challenge for engineering student as till now they were making project on imaginary ideas. On the first day, we got the basic knowledge of design engineering. What is design engineering and why we need design engineering? How this subject will be useful to the student? All this questions has been cleared properly and also that how this activity will be useful in design engineering. These are the steps of the project or problem. In this canvas, we have to find out… The First Step is, Find out the site, where occur problem. 1. What is User Problem on the site? How to solve this problem? 2. How is Environment of the site? By using these all observation we have to make the AEIOU canvas. This is a basic canvas for our Project or Problem. This canvas has all basic information about users, activities, environment etc. which will helpful for us ahead.

Understanding the problem of society is one of the big challenges for engineering student as till now they were making project on imaginary ideas. So this was based on understanding the domains of the problem in broader sense which emphasized on interacting with the people of your domain area which included more of casual talk rather than technical session. And this activity was named as Story board canvas. Our domain was Victoria Park, We started with identify the people related to our domain directly and indirectly. Then list out the activities which are required for Victoria Park. As we need to focus on people’s emotions we wrote Happy and Sad Story which helps us to get more attached with user.

In ideation canvas, you have to carry out which type of activities is related to your project and people? What is situation and location regarding to activities? Then after you find the possible solutions. It is depend or not depend to your activities. People:  Senior Citizen  Security  Couples  Joggers  Student Situation/Context/Location: Situation Context Location Senior Citizen We’re reading Ramayana. Senior Citizen we’re reading Ramayana evening to kill the time. Van Ashram People were Doing Yoga. Many People were Doing Yoga under the tree. Tree People were saw sunset. Automatic Plant Watering System To avoid this problem there should Automatic Plant watering system so that it will be easier for everybody & saved the water. To made Pick Point for Observation To avoid this problem there should be two pick points which will be easier for visit the find the way & show sunset. Fire Detector To avoid this problem there should this will be helpful for find the fire& quench the fire.

Our product is ‘Automatic Street Light and Automatic Plant Watering System. So in this canvas, following things is to do. 1. Automatic Street Light: People:  Senior Citizen  Security  Couples  Joggers  Student Purpose: Product Experience:  Easy maintenance  User’s friendly  Large illumination  Work perfectly By using this Instrument we can save the energy instead of non-renewable energy, we are using renewable energy so it is economical for us. By using Automatic plant watering system is wasted in less proportion & water will be saved which will used for further purpose.

Redesign/Retain: Our project useful for senior citizen and our project are timer based so, the street light on evening and street light is off morning.

It is a visual thinking tool that helps structuring information, helping you to better analyze, comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate new ideas. Mind mapping is a simple technique for drawing information in diagrams, instead of writing it in sentences.
