In this paper a three phase induction motor controller for a photovoltaic powered water pump without the use of chemical storage element is presented. The use of a three-phase induction motor is a better solution to the dc motor water pumping system. This system is use to achieve a more efficient, reliable, maintenance-free, and cheaper solution than that use dc motors or low-voltage synchronous motors. The developed system is based on a non inverting buck“boost converter and a full-bridge three-phase inverter. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm has been developed and implemented to maximize the use of solar power generated at any given instant. By using MATLAB/ Simulink model is implemented. The system is expected to have a high lifetime due to the inexistence of storage element. As a result, the system is a economical solution to deliver water to household, industrial and agricultural activities which require water supply. Swati Killedar | Dr. S. N. Patil | Prof. A. P. An improved luo converter for high power applicationseSAT Journals
Abstract
Power conversion is one of the major requirements in various industries and in daily life. Among various types of power
conversion, DC-DC conversion has greater importance. DC-DC conversion can be reliably performed using luo converter. It
employs voltage lift technique so that output voltage is increased stage by stage, in arithmetic progression. Luo converter can be
incorporated with the Z network or impedance network so as to ensure simple start up and smooth power conversion. An
impedance network consist of two identical inductors and two identical capacitors connected in ‘X’ shape. Besides power
conversion it also offers filtering operation. The luo converter in this scheme is of switched capacitor type. It helps to provide
regulated output voltage from an unregulated source of power supply. The major benefits of this proposed scheme is that it
combines the advantages of the switched capacitor, voltage lift technique and the impedance network. Hence the proposed scheme
has various advantages such as high power density, larger range of output DC voltage, lower or no inrush current, lower
harmonic injection, simple circuit, high voltage transfer gain, can process upto several tens of watts of power. The simulation
analysis and the hardware implementation shows that the output voltage obtained is higher than the expected theoretical value.
i.e, it is the highly boosted voltage output.

photovoltaic (PV) systems. It is well-known that partial shading

consequences. In this research, PV array is connected using
TCT (total cross-tied) configuration including sensors to
measure voltage and currents. The sensors provide inputs for
MPPT controller in order to achieve optimum output power.
The Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is
utilized in this paper as the controller methods. Then, the
output of MPPT controller is the optimum power duty cycle

shows that the proposed MPPT controller can provide PV

The accuracy of our proposed method is measured by

present a new method for detecting partial condition of

The real problems in diminution of power quality occurs due to the rapid growth of nonlinear load are leads to sudden decrease of source voltage for a few seconds i.e sag, swell, harmonics in source and load current, voltage unbalance etc. All these problems can be compensated by using Unified Power Quality Controller (UPQC) and the operation of UPQC depends upon the available voltage across capacitor present in dc link. If the capacitor voltage is maintained constant then it gives satisfactory performance. The proposed research is basically on designing of Photo Voltaic (PV) /Wind energy fed to the dc link capacitor of UPQC so as to maintain proper voltage across it and operate the UPQC for power quality analysis. Harvesting energy from the sun makes the photovoltaic (PV) power generation a promising technology. To obtain a consistent state of charge (SOC), consistent energy must be harvested and efficiently directed to the battery. Overcharging or undercharging phenomena decreases the lifetime of the battery. Besides, the effect of irradiance toward solar in term of sunlight intensity effects the efficiency and hence, sluggish the SOC. The main problem of the solar panel revealed when the temperature has increased, the efficiency of solar panel will also be decreased. This manuscript reports the finding of developing an automatic active cooling system for a solar panel with a real time energy monitoring system with internet-of-things (IoT) facility. The effectiveness of the proposed system is proven via the analysis of the effect of active cooling toward efficiency and SOC of photovoltaic system. The results also tabulate the comparative studies of active-to-passive cooling system, as well as the effect of cooling towards SOC and efficiency of the solar panel.
A Single-Phase Dual-Stage PV-Grid System with Active FilteringIAES-IJPEDS
Integrating photovoltaic based electricity into the grid and power quality
improvement have become two major issues in electrical system. Formerly,
these can be solved by using two converter systems separately, a PV-Grid
System and an active power filter. But recent technology uses only a
converter system to do both function. An existed shunt active power filter
(SAPF) can be modified to form a dual-stage PV-Grid with active filtering
capability. In this paper, a PV-Grid System that is capable to transfer all
power generated by PV modules and reduce harmonic contents is proposed.
The system was formed by connecting a boost chopper as a Maximum Power
Point Tracker and PV modules to the DC-link capacitor of a single-phase
SAPF. It just needed a current transducer and also required simpler control
circuits. A voltage controller was needed to achieve power equilibrium while
a current controller was needed to make the grid current sinusoidal with unity
power factor. To verify the analysis, simulations and experiments were done.

Development of a Novel Robust Differential Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT...IJSRP Journal
The use of photovoltaic (PV) systems is increasingly growing in importance since they involve an exploitation of solar radiation constituting an energy source which is renewable, available in most places, and pollution-free. Despite their numerous advantages, PV systems have two major drawbacks: low energy conversion efficiency and loss of energy due to variations in meteorological conditions; for this reason, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control techniques play a key role in exploiting the maximum energy caught by PV modules. The output characteristic of a photovoltaic array is nonlinear and changes with solar irradiation and the cell’s temperature. Therefore, a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technique is needed to draw peak power from the solar array to maximize the produced energy. In this study we have analyzed the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method and finding out a new and easier way to track maximum power point (MPP) and also our study is focused to overcome the drawbacks of MPPT. This research paper presents a novel MPP tracking method for tracking exact Maximum Power Point (MPP) if the irradiation or load changes.

The inverters are categorized according to the configuration of the PV system, the configuration of the conversion stages within the inverter and whether they use transformers. After the introduction of the state of the art of inverters for PV systems with and without transformers, the paper focuses on some known problems and challenges for transformer less inverters. Topologies without transformers have big advantages like low weight, volume and cost. In addition they often reach higher efficiencies than topologies with transformers. Eliminating the leakage current is one of the most important issues for transformer less inverters in grid-connected photovoltaic system applications, where the technical challenge is how to keep the system common-mode voltage constant to reduce the leakage current. To realize better utilization of PV modules and maximize the solar energy extraction, a distributed maximum power point tracking control scheme is applied to both single- and three-phase multilevel inverters, which allows independent control of each dc-link voltage. For three-phase grid-connected applications, PV mismatches may introduce unbalanced supplied power, leading to unbalanced grid current.
Incremental Conductance MPPT Algorithm for PV System Implemented Using DC-DC ...IJERA Editor
The two basic topologies of switch mode DC-DC converters (Buck and Boost) are analyzed with a view of their use in PV (photovoltaic) systems, as the photovoltaic generator exhibits non-linear characteristics due to the change in environmental condition and load variation. As the efficiency of PV panels is low it becomes mandatory to extract maximum power from the PV panel at a given period of time. Several MPPT algorithms with different types of converters are being proposed for extracting maximum power from the PV panel. It is found that the nature of load plays an important role in the choice of topology. This paper investigates the implementation issues of Incremental Conductance method with Buck and Boost Converters. Mathematical analysis and desirable steady-state operating point of the converters are derived to give satisfactory maximum power point tracking operation.
This Paper mainly deals with the implementation of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) in Pulse Width Modulation control of Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter (SEPIC). Generally PID, Fuzzy techniques are being used to control DC – DC converter. This paper presents a ANFIS controller based SEPIC converter for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation of a photovoltaic (PV) system. The ANFIS controller for the SEPIC MPPT scheme shows a high precision in current transition and keeps the voltage without any changes represented in small steady state error and small overshoot. The proposed scheme ensures optimal use of photovoltaic (PV) array, wind turbine and proves its efficacy in variable load conditions, unity and lagging power factor at the inverter output (load) side. The performance of the proposed ANFIS based MPPT operation of SEPIC converter is compared to those of the conventional PID and Fuzzy based SEPIC converter. The results show that the proposed ANFIS based MPPT scheme for SEPIC can transfer power to about 20 percent (approx) more than conventional system.

SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF TIBC FOR INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVEEditor IJMTER
This project proposes a new low cost converter- inverter drive system for induction motor.
The converter is designed to drive a three-phase induction motor directly from PhotoVoltaic (PV)
energy source. The three phase induction motor is better because of its low cost, reliability, no
maintenance, high efficiency and good power factor. Two Inductor Boost Converter (TIBC) is used
in first stage along with the voltage doubler rectifier and snubber to develop the system. The reason
to choose TIBC is due to its high voltage gain and low input current ripple, which minimizes the
oscillations at the module operation point. To convert the boosted DC output voltage from PV
module into AC, a voltage source inverter is implemented to attain sufficient voltage to drive the
motor. As the PV cell posses the nonlinear behaviour, the Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT)
controller is needed to improve the utilization efficiency of the converter. The MPPT algorithm
proposed in this paper based on hill climbing algorithm, for matching the load and to boost the PV
module output voltage. PI Controller is used to control the speed of the Induction Motor. The entire
system is simulated using Matlab Simulink environment. The system is expected to be operated with
high efficiency and low cost for long lifetime.

Implementation of a Voltage Multiplier based on High Step-up Converter using FLCIJMTST Journal
A Front end of the Photovoltaic Solar Panel is been proposed based on Step-Up Converter. The use of
distributed energy resources is increasingly being pursued as a supplement and an alternative to large
conventional central power stations. The specification of a power electronic interface is subject to
requirements related not only to the renewable energy source itself but also to its effects on the power-system
operation, especially where the intermittent energy source constitutes a significant part of the total system
capacity. Implementing a voltage multiplier module, an asymmetrical interleaved high step-up converter
obtains high step-up gain without operating at an extreme duty ratio. The voltage multiplier module is
composed of a conventional boost converter and coupled inductors. An extra conventional boost converter is
integrated into the first phase to achieve a considerably higher voltage conversion ratio. The two-phase
configuration not only reduces the current stress through each power switch, but also constrains the input
current ripple, which decreases the conduction losses of metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors.
In addition, the proposed converter functions as an active clamp circuit, which alleviates large voltage spikes
across the power switches. Finally, the simulation circuitry with a 40V input voltage and 230V output voltage
is operated to verify its performance analysis with respect to the Fuzzy Logic Controller. The highest
efficiency is 97.75%.

In literature, we can find several Maximum Power Point Tracking Algorithms, the choice of the algorithm is according to the nature of application. In this article, Variable Step Size Incremental Conductance MPPT method has been developed since it is fast and has less oscillations. The studied photovoltaic pumping system contains a centrifugal pump which is driven by a three-phase asynchronous motor. To control the water flow, the field-oriented control has been implemented. The control system is applied on two cities with different climatic conditions to evaluate their performance. The photovoltaic pumping system is developed using the MATLAB/Simulink software to discuss the results obtained. Consequently, the proposed MPPT based on the incremental conductance variable step shows good performances in terms of efficiency and tracking speed.

This converter is capable of achieving different switching patterns of power flow between the source and load, interfaced sources of various voltage and current levels with the dc grid. This tri-port converter has to be used for continuous power distribution of rechargeable battery, photovoltaic panels and load. Due to the implementation of this dc-dc converter some operations like buck, boost and buck-boost operations became easy. Use of this converter helps in easy implementation of the system. The solar PV panel implementation boosts the system to a high level and bidirectional flow became easy from source to load and vice versa.
Enhanced MPPT Technique For DC-DC Luo Converter Using Model Predictive Contro...IJERD Editor
The present study explored an enhanced maximum power point tracking technique which ensures fast tracking in PV systems. This system represents a Model Predictive Control (MPC) MPPT technique. Extracting the maximum power from PV systems has been widely investigated. The main benefaction of this article is an improvement of the Perturb and Observe (P&O) method through a fixed step predictive control under measured fast solar radiation. The preferred predictive control to achieve Maximum Power Point (MPP) speeds up the control loop since it predicts error before the switching signal is applied to the DC-DC Luo converter. Comparing the improved technique to the conventional P&O method indicates significant improvement in PV system performance. The proposed MPC-MPPT technique for a Luo converter is implemented using the MAT LAB SIMULINK

This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Sustainable Energy by Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Sadikuijtsrd
Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. The paper addresses the issue of sustainable energy, its attendant benefits to the future generation, and humanity in general. Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Concepts for Sudan Survey Act Implementations Executive Regulations and Stand...ijtsrd
This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. In the last few decades, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of geomatics activities and measurements on the Earths surface in space and time, together with observing and mapping the changes. In such cases, data must be captured promptly, standardized, and obtained with more accuracy and specified in much detail. The paper will also highlight the current situation in Sudan, the degree to which survey standards are used, the problems encountered, and the errors that arise from not using the standards and survey specifications. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

[4]. PV pumping systems without battery can provide
a cost effective use of solar energy. Nowadays, due to
development of IM drive systems it is possible to use
a more robust and less expensive motor for
photovoltaic pumping application [5] [6]. Following
are the features of proposed topology: high efficiency
due to the low energy available; low cost; no specific
training needed to operate the system; minimum
amount of maintenance possible and high life span
comparable to the usable life of 20 years of a PV
panel.
Block Diagram
Figure 1 shows the simplified block diagram of
proposed PV water pumping system. The energy
produced by the PV panel is fed to the motor through
a converter with two power stages: a dc-dc converter
and dc-ac three-phase inverter. DC-DC converter is
used to boost the voltage of the panels and a dc/ac
three-phase inverter to convert the dc voltage to three-
phase ac voltage. The inverter is based on a classic
topology and uses a sinusoidal pulse width
modulation (PWM) The use of this PWM strategy is
to improve the output voltage level as compared to
sinusoidal PWM modulation. MPPT algorithm is
implemented through dc-dc converter. Pulse width
modulation signal is given to three phase inverter and
it continuously check speed of induction motor, and
generate required signal to drive the water pump.

Fig. 2 Diagram for a basic non inverting buck boost
converter
All dc-dc converters operate by rapidly turning on and
off of two switches, generally with a high frequency
pulse. Diagram of non inverting buck boost converter
is as shown in fig.2, when the pulse is high/the switch
Q1 and Q2 is on, inductor L is charged by the input
voltage. When the pulse is low/ both the switch is off,
the energy stored in inductor is discharged to the
capacitor. The greater the percentage of time (duty
cycle) the pulse is low, the greater the output will be.
This is because the longer the inductors charge, the
greater their voltage will be. The converter will fail if
capacitors will not be charge because of pulse being
too long. This dc-dc converter allowing the electrical
voltage at its output to be greater than, less than, or
equal to that at its input; the output of the non
inverting buck boost converter is controlled by the
duty cycle of the control switch. Step up or step down
the voltage of this buck boost converter depends
primarily on the duty cycle and the parasitic elements
in the circuit.
The output of an ideal buck boost converter is given
by (1)
V = (D 1⁄ − 1)V (1)
Where, D is the duty ratio. And duty ratio is defined
as the ratio of the ON period of switch to the total
switching time period.
This becomes
D = (2)

In theory, the larger the inductors are the better the
circuit will operate and reduce the ripple. However,
larger inductors are more expensive and have a larger
internal resistance. This greater internal resistance
will make the converter less efficient. Creating the
best converter requires choosing inductors that are
just large enough to keep the voltage and current
ripple at an acceptable amount.

P and O MPPT Algorithm
Perturb and Observe MPPT algorithm is used to
achieve maximum power point. Maximum power
point tracker uses different control circuits to search
for this point and allow the converter circuit to extract
the maximum power available from cell. In the
current method the controller adjusts the voltage from
array and measures power, if the power increases,
further adjustments in the direction are tried until
there is no increase of power. This is called P and O
method. It is the most commonly used MPPT method
Because of ease of implementation. PV modules
output power curve as a function of voltage (P-V
curve), at the constant irradiance and the constant
module temperature, assuming the PV module is
operating at a point which is away from the MPP.
From the P–V characteristics shown in fig.5 it can be
visualized that the operating voltage of the PV module
is perturbed by a small increment, and the resulting
change of power, P is observed. If the P is positive,
then the operating point has moved toward the MPP.
Thus, further voltage adjustments in the same
direction should move the operating point toward the
MPP. Direction of perturbation should be reversed if
the P is negative as the operating point has moved
away from the MPP. The duty cycle and the PV
voltage (V ) are inversely proportional to each other,
i.e., an increase in duty cycle causes the (V ) to
decrease and vice versa.
Simulink Design
The most important decision in this process is the
choosing of the solar cells. Silicon was the material of
the first solar cells and nowadays is mostly used in
terrestrial settings due to its low production cost and
low efficiency. Terrestrial applications generally
value cost over surface area consumed so silicon is a
great fit. These cells generally range from 12%- 18%
efficient and come in two crystal types, mono
crystalline and polycrystalline [1].The figure 3
represents the circuit used in simulink model. The
fundamental magnitude of the output inverter can be
controlled to be constant by exercising control within
the inverter itself that is external circuit is not
required. The most efficient method of doing this is
by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control used
within inverter. In this scheme the inverter is fed by a
fixed controlled ac voltage.
