This document discusses the design and implementation of fault-tolerant parallel Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs) using error correction codes (ECCs) to protect against soft errors in communications and signal processing circuits. It proposes two new techniques that combine ECC with checks based on the Parseval theorem to enhance error detection and correction while reducing overhead compared to traditional methods. The results indicate that the proposed methods outperform existing techniques in terms of implementation complexity and error protection efficacy.
