Cultural Competency For A Nursing
Cultural competency is extremely indispensable in nursing practice so that nurses can provide
optimal care for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Therefore, insufficient knowledge and
skills of cultural competency has continued to increase racial and ethnic inequalities in healthcare
services especially for minority groups (Dunagan et al. 2013; Long, 2012). As Nurses interact with
clients they provide care, education and advocacy at any point in need. Cultural awareness
provides the bases for nurses to develop of interest to continue and advance in knowledge and skills
to deliver cultural competent care (Calvillo, 2009). To complete the critical analysis of the

RESULTS The studies carefully chosen for the review consist of articles that employed multiple
research methods. The combination of different research methods was to improve the strategies to
enhance data collection and extraction (Whittemore Knaffle, 2005). The strategy specifically
enhances the rigour of the process of the critical analysis to address current of knowledge on
enhancing the cultural competency of new graduates (Whittemore Knaffle, 2005). DATA
REDUCTION Of the seven studies included in the review, there were two that employed
qualitative methods (Hart Mareno, 2014; Kokko, 2014). The chosen data collection methods were
found to be suitable to the designs of each study. Chircop et al., (2013) used a quantitative
research design which was deemed acceptable for obtaining measurable data regarding student
competence and knowledge acquisition. While the two mixed method designs (Alpers, Hanssen,
2014; Dunagan et al., 2013) were considered effective for exploration of self assessment for to
enhance cultural competency. Two other studies used quasi experimental research methods
(Mareno and Hart, 2014; Noble et al., 2014). The summary to the selection process are illustrated
in Appendix II. DATA DISPLAY To describe the pattern and relationships with in the primary data
sources, the extracted data are displayed in Appendix III In Caring for ethnic minority patients

Concordion Essay
Concordion tests are written in HTML and then instrumented with special attributes that
Concordion interprets to execute the test. Rather than forcing product owners to specify
requirements in a specially structured language, Concordion lets you write them in normal
language using paragraphs, tables and proper punctuation [7]. This makes the specifications much
more natural to read and write, and helps everyone to understand and agree about what a feature is
supposed to do. The HTML files are typically stored with the source code, which has the benefit
that they can be under the same version control system as the rest of the code. Concordion enriches
agile processes and has been successfully applied in industrial context. B. Cucumber It is a software
tool that computer programmers use for testing other software. It runs automated acceptance tests
written in a behavior driven development (BDD) style. Cucumber is written in the Ruby
programming language [8]. Cucumber projects are available for other platforms beyond Ruby.
Some use Ruby Cucumber with a bridge into the target language like cuke4php and cuke4lua.
Others use the Gherkin parser but implement everything else in the target language. Cucumber
allows the execution of feature documentation written in business facing text. Because software
automatically tested by Cucumber, your specifications are always bang up to date. C.

The Integration Of The Mdgs Into The Indonesia s National...
3.2.The NLTDP, NMTDP and the MDGs
As a reflection of Indonesia s increased willingness to play a cooperative role in the international
arena, the government is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of providing a systematic
data to measure development progress. Although there are many instances where various
international development programs are being incorporated into the national development plan, in
this dissertation I present a case study on the integration of the MDGs into the Indonesia s national
development plan as a specific example where the Indonesian government takes a proactive role in
integrating an international development agenda into its national development plan.
3.2.1.Why MDGs?
Aside from the MDGs being the first comprehensively outlined global development goals that
were agreed by UN member states, the fact that they provide specific indicators illustrate that the
MDGs are able to provide the initial frameworks for developing countries to achieve development
objectives deemed as important by setting specific goals and targeted indicators which statutory
countries have pledged to fulfil by the end of 2015. The multi dimensional nature of what consist
of development as outlined in the MDGs will also enable us to incorporate a more holistic view of
development, as opposed to the traditional interpretation of development that almost exclusively
refers to economic progress.
Furthermore, Indonesia was one of the 189 UN member state signees of the

Essay On The Role Of Coach Winning In Sports
What drives a coach winning or the development of players? We as coaches have taken on a role
of responsibility that means a lot to athletes, families and communities. Playing athletics of any
sort will teach you many life lessons. But within any work force, you have to produce or make
some form of progress. With that being said a major factor when it comes to coachingis, what do
you value more? The development of your players or winning games to look good or satisfy some
internal drive? Since I have been enrolled in graduate school and taking classes on how to become
a better coach. The first step a coach should take to prepare themselves is developing a coaching
philosophy. A coaching philosophy will help put ideas and thoughts... Show more content on

This is an ideal topic when talking about coaching and what is valued more
In the clash of coaching philosophies in youth soccer winning vs development they talk about how
the majority of the time the pressure to win comes from the parents and coaches that have limited
knowledge. They stated that focusing too much on winning will hurt younger athletes as they get
older. In our culture today they will praise the winners and no one remembers the losers. The article
ultimately sums up that the coach s main goal should be the development of their players and
winning later.
After reading this article I find it very helpful on how it pertains to the topic of this paper. The
point of this research is to find the drive that a coach has. This article mainly pointed out younger
children in the sport of soccer and the concepts could clearly be used for any sport.
As time has progressed the legal and ethical responsibilities of a coach can be tied into their title
and how it affects their position. Rich Engelhorn of Iowa State University touched on many ideas
that a coach has to take into consideration. He states a coach s legal duties are being
knowledgeable, providing a safe environment, adequate supervision of athletes, etc. The ethical
responsibilities of coach are but not limited to, encouraging development, participation, and most
importantly; the goal is to win, but to win the correct way. Never sacrifice character for the win.
He then goes on to say A program should

Bowdoin Social Phenomenon
Bowdoin College, better known as the Bowdoin bubble, has within it sociological phenomenon that
helps it maintain social cohesion. One of these social phenomenon is the Bowdoin hello. The
Bowdoin hello is the act of students greeting one another on campus and downtown. However, the
practice of this tradition has extended itself to people in cars at crosswalks and random people on
the Bowdoin campus. This phenomenon maintains social cohesion on campus because it attempts
draws together a community that is constantly changing. With the incoming diversity on campus it
serves to reaffirm what Bowdoin stands for, a welcoming community for everyone. The Bowdoin

I will examine the material that they distribute to the incoming class that pertains to etiquette
and norms displayed on campus. Then I will engage in informal conversations ethnographically
as a complete participant with students about their views and uses of the Bowdoin hello. By
immersing myself as a complete participant I will be able to receive answers that have more
credibility. I will also utilize my personal experiences from when I entered Bowdoin as a first
year and I will attempt to breach the phenomenon to observe the outcome. The social location,
which is Bowdoin s campus, will enable my ability to observe the phenomenon because it is
exclusive to Bowdoin. However, my social location might constrain my ability in that reactions
might be bias for or against the phenomenon depending on whether the person uses this custom or
not. I believe this is the best method because it will enable me to see how this norm is introduced
and manifested over time in the community. Before entering Bowdoin students are told on campus
tours and in info sessions about customs that are particular to Bowdoin. They are told that a
Bowdoin student strives for the common good and engages in the Bowdoin hello. While on the
tour they see their tour guide wave hello to all the people that pass by whether they know them or
not. However, this is not the case when you are actually a student on campus and there are not any

Film Analysis Of Wyatt Earp
Throughout the years, there has been an abundance of movies depicting the wild west during the
nineteenth century. One of these films includes Tombstone which was released in the year 1993.
Based on real events, this movie is about a man named Wyatt Earp, played by Kurt Russel, who is
a retired officer that settles in a town called Tombstonewith his two brothers. Later, they encounter
a group of outlaws called the Cowboys which was led by Curly Bill and Johnny Ringo. Due to
some conflict between the opposing sides, it causes a massive gunfight called the O.K. Corral in
which the Earp brothers and long time friend Doc Holliday, played by Val Kilmer, ultimately win
the battle. As a result of the fight not ending in the Cowboys favor, they ambush the town in
which leads to Virgil, played by Sam Elliot (Tombstone, 1.), becoming handicapped and Wyatt s
younger brother, Morgan played by Bill Paxton, dead. This infuriates Wyatt which then leads him
to seek vengeance for his brother s death. While Wyatt kills Curly, Doc and their posse attack the
remaining Cowboys. After the ambush, Doc s tuberculosis progressively gets worse and is left on
bed rest. As Wyatt and the posse continue to meet up with Johnny and the Cowboys, Doc has
already arrived and murders Johnny legally.
Tombstone, compared to other films, gives a realistic depiction of the west of that time period
based on the set. It is based on a real place located in southern Arizona . This little town was
established in 1877

The Australasian system of legal practice is derived from the United Kingdom which is from the
British settlers in Australia. The legislations laws are formulated by the legislators which is the
parliament of the state and the commonwealth countries. The law of the state must be consistent
with the laws of the commonwealth. It means that any law that is not consistent with the
commonwealth law in Australia is rendered invalid. This presents a significant impact on the
same sex marriage debate. Before the changes in the Marriage Act, the definition of the term
marriage was derived from the UK case. The common law is administered by the courts. The
courts are bound by the principles of precedent which requires the court to adhere to the previous
decisions of superior courts. This brings consistency and prediction in the practice of the common
law. Marriage is Australia governed by the Commonwealth marriage Act of 1961 that defines
marriage as the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into
for life. The constitution gives power to the commonwealth to come up with laws on marriage
which it shares with the states. There must be vows or exchange of words for a marriage in
addition to all other recognized ceremonies of different religion.
Same sex marriage is recognized as de facto unions in the federal laws of Australia. However each

Relationship Between The Live Event And The Document...
This paper will explore a range of perspectives on the relationship between the live event and the
document within performance practice, specifically focus on in relation to body, time and space.
Performance art is commonly known as a performance presented to a viewer within a fine art
context. Through performance artists emphasize the body s role in artistic production. Historically,
performance archive has been characterized as an unfaithful representation of the momentary art
experience. Yet, in contemporary art the relationship between live performance practices and
documentation has progressed towards reconciliation. Whether, the performance is scripted or
unscripted, the performer s body is present or absent. Performance artcan happen in any type of
venue and for any length of time. Documentation of performance practice documents the actions of
an individual or a group at a particular place and in a particular time.
A fascination with the human body, body were an experience that could somehow be held in
common. The ways in which we might experience the body as connected or represent it as
disconnected in a live performance. Shifting attention from traditional art object to the artist s
physical action further proposed that art existed in real space and real time. Marina Abramovic, a
pioneer of performance art began using her own body as the subject, object, and medium in the
early 1970s as she said, In performance my body is object and subject. For the exhibition

Humanity In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
The Human Choice What does it mean to be human? Is it enough to have a beating heart, a
functional brain, and the body of a human? In Mary Shelley s novel Frankenstein, the idea of
humanity is explored through Frankenstein and his monster. The monster, animated through
Frankenstein s experiments, proves that humanity is chosen rather than inherent by the monster
originally choosing and then rejecting humanity. The Frankensteinmonster gains and exhibits
humanity from his birth to his abandonment by the DeLacey family. As the monster evolves
through primal urges, he seems to learn quickly, immediately recognizing the need for clothing and
warmth, as well as identifying the type of material necessary to continue the fire (Shelley 72 74). He

The monster continued to develop his human characteristics. During this internal voyage of
discovery, the monster came across the emblem of Satan in Paradise Lost. The book elicited strong
emotions from the monster, and as the monster identified with Satan, the readings drove the
monster further from his human nature. While reading this book, the monster also comes across
Frankenstein s journal. In this journal, Frankenstein had meticulously described the process of the
creation of the monster and Frankenstein s disgust with the monster. The monster likened his own
predicament to Satan s. Yet the monster felt that while Satan had fellow fallen compatriots, the
monster had no one, not even the support of his own creator. The monster saw himself as solitary
and abhorred (Shelley 94). When the monster revealed himself to the old DeLacey, the monster felt
hope that he might be accepted for who he was. When the DeLaceys returned home, their replies to
the monster s appearance revealed their horror and inability to see past the surface features of the
monster. Thus, the monster chooses to reject all commonalities with his human family and elects to
burn the ties to this family as he scorches their vacated home. The monster further demonstrates the
loss of his humanity and the expansion of his animalistic urges by reveling in the murder of
Frankenstein s family member. The monster loses his remnants of his humanity after his
abandonment by Frankenstein, his creator, and the DeLaceys, his human

Before Christmas break I went to an event at UNCG called the Spartan Showcase, and there were

time to explain and describe the programto me. After the explanation, I was convinced that I would
like to apply, in fact, I was so ready that one of the studentrepresentatives went ahead and gave me

sound analysts and investors worry about the company s capital structure decisions. Investors do
not want to see that much cash on the books and worry that the current capital structure is not the
most effective for the future. They prefer that BBBY change their capital structure by paying out
excess cash and issuing debt. This could allow BBBY to improve their return on equity and raise

This represents a 7% increase in stock price. Further, the additional leverage and return of excess
cash to shareholders will significantly increase ROE. If the market determines that an 80% debt
capital structure is feasible for BBBY, then we will expect further capital gains as investors
applaud shareholder friendly policies and re examine EPS estimates. However, if top line growth
and same store sales growth continue to trend downward, investors may become skeptical of BBBY
management s ability to continue generating over 30% EPS growth, and thus question the ability
of the company to service its debt in the future. Aside from the two aforementioned proposals the
company can raise its leverage in other ways. By conducting DuPont analysis and understanding
operating leverage we see that purchasing fixed assets and decreasing stockholder s equity will
raise the equity multiplier and the firm s operating leverage. In this instance we recommend
against this approach as the firm already has a large amount of excess cash above what they
require to fund new positive NPV projects and purchase new assets. Investors would rather see

Defining Success In John Wooden s Pyramid Of Success
John Wooden once said, success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self satisfaction in
knowing you made the effort to become the best you are capable of becoming. This quotation is
relevant to the question of how would you define success because success can be defined in
many ways, depending on who you are asking. For you to have a better understanding, I will
explain how success is defined in John Wooden s Pyramid of Success , next how success was
defined in the movie Hoosiers, also how Bobby Plump saw success in his Milan team, and lastly
how I have had success in my life time.
In John Wooden s Pyramid of Success he gives all the characteristics that he thinks defines
success. There is fifteen different characteristics, there are three of them that in my opinion are
very important in success. The most important trait in my opinion is Competitive Greatness. John
defines it as Being at your best when your best is needed. Enjoyment of a difficult challenge. I do
not think I would define it that way, I would define it as trying to be the best you can and putting
as much effort it takes to become the greatest at what you are doing. The next trait is Self Control,
he defines it as practicing Self Control and keeping emotions under control. Having good judgement
and common sense. I agree with his definition, if you do not agree with a call then do not yell at
the refs, bite your tongue and go back to playing. Do not show negative emotions! If the other
team sees that they can get under your skin than they will just keep doing it. Lastly and in my
eyes the most important is Team Spirit. Team spirit is huge in my opinion, everyone on the
team should have the same goal and that is to become and to play at the greatest of your ability.
The only way to achieve that goal is to have everyone striving to do their best and want the best
for the rest of their teammates. We all know that one guy on the team who could care less if they
were there or does not try hard at practice. Or the one guy who always says, There is no way we
can win this game, they are too good. So, what I am saying is that if someone has a big night and
puts up 20 points then be excited for them. If a guy hits a walk off then go

Going to Canada by Warren Cariou
Through his creative non fiction piece Going to Canada , Warren Cariou proposes that our
traditional view of Canada is superficial and fabricated from cover up stories; we need to look
beneath the surface of central issues to construct a well rounded understanding. Cariou travels to
Auschwitz and is quite intrigued by the warehouse called Canada, which is used to store stolen
goods from prisoners. He questions how the Canada located in the internment camp got its name
and what significance the name plays. Initial reflection upon the meaning of Canada suggests the
prisoners named it as a place for freedom and solace. However, later evidence suggested that it was
actually named by Nazi Commanders. There seemed to be no direct connection between the
warehouse and the country until Cariou returned to Canada and visited several northern Aboriginal
communities. Cariou emphasizes the significance of stories of First Nations as agents of
remembering and forgetting; they show the theft and dehumanization that Aboriginals are subjected
to. Through the numerous parallels, it became evident that there is a clear connection between the
warehouse and the country. Cariou claims that as Canadians, our perspective is shaped from cover
up stories and prevents us from seeing the connection that exists between the two. The corporate
exploitation of Aboriginal communities and natural resources is analogous to the behavior of the
Nazis during the holocaust. Through this piece, Cariou wishes to

Germany s Depressed Economy Affected The Rise Of Hitler
Almost every country was deeply affected by WWI. During the 1920s, most of these countries
went into an economic depression. Germany was affected more than most due to sanctions and
post war agreements. Adolf Hitler began his rise to power and began making promises to the
citizens that were struggling. The deep crisis in Germany allowed Hitler to seize power in 1933.
This investigation will examine how Germany s depressed economy affected the rise of Hitler in
the early 1930s. Summary of Evidence After WWI ended, there were many changes for the Central
powers, which consisted of Germany, France, the Ottoman Empire, Austria Hungary and Bulgaria.
The victorious countries, United States, Great Britain and France, met up to write treaties to give
the losing countries the punishment they deserved for starting such chaos. Many of the treaties
signed, such as Treaty of Saint Germainen Laye, Treaty of Trianon, Treaty of Sevres and Treaty of
Lausanne hurt the losing powers worse by taking away land that they had acquired earlier. Around
ten months after the end of the Great War, Woodrow Wilson, then president of the United States,
proposed his famous plan Fourteen Points, which focused on preventing war in the future...
proposing a League of Nations to arbitrate further international disputes. When the German leaders
at the time signed this proposed plan, they believed that this was the beginning of a peaceful era.
However, the Entente powers had different plans. The countries known

An Analysis of the Arab League Essay
The Arab League: What Could Have Been But Never Was
Introduction
In an increasingly globalizing world, many problems that face humanity are of global concern and
as such, require international co operation in order to effectively combat issues such as terrorism
and nuclear disarmament (Karns Mingst. 2010). As a result, a rising need for global governance
has emerged in the realm of international relations and policy as states search for ways in which
they can manage their affairs (Karns Mingst. 2010)..
This has prompted many international and transnational organizations to be formed by both

2010). This, combined with the anarchic realm which is the international system, will lead to
norms and international law having minimal effect on the system and restraint of states (Karns
Mingst. 2010). Realists view international organizations, as being able to increase or decrease state
power but not alter the power structure between states (Karns Mingst. 2010). They argue that it is
only a reflection of the power distribution amongst states and will never actually change or affect
the inherent anarchical nature of the system and the self interested nature of states and that states
will also abandon co operation if it will serve them more (Karns Mingst. 2010). . These two
theories will be the standards which the Arab League will be compared too as we shall explore the
structural implications, history and policies of the organization and the extent to which they
conform with Realist and Liberal assumptions on the effectiveness and relevance of international
organizations in international relations.
History of the Arab League
Egypt, Jordon, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon formed the Arab League in March 1945.
Yemen later joined the league in the following May of that year (Owen, 2004). The League was
originally a British idea, which sought to protect their interests within the region during the Second

change has already caused a series of environmental problems like global warming, which place a
serious influence on sustainable development of human society (Demeritt, 2001). The industrial gas

Relationship Between The Relationship In Pirates Of The...
An important relationship that is shown in the visual text Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the
Black Pearl (2003), directed by Gore Verbinski was between two main characters, Captain Jack
Sparrow and Will Turner. Their relationship was one of the most important in the film as it shows
us how these two characters have changed their perspectives of the world and most importantly,
towards each other. There are several examples of how their relationship changes throughout. At the
beginning of the film, Jack considers Will as a lame commoner and Will was quite stereotypical
about Jack being a pirate . Their animosity and hatred were quite mutual given their respective
backgrounds. As the movie progresses, this relationship is more about one s own benefits. They
realise and understand each other s strengths and weaknesses well and use each other selfishly.
Towards the end, this selfish attitude matures into friendship. At the beginning of the film, Jack and
Will had completely different opinions about each other. Jack Sparrow, a clever, cunning and
calculated man saw Will as a lay man and would find it hard to believe that they would become
friends. Pirates in those days or even today are considered hard core criminals. Will being raised
as a common man, irrespective of his past also think the same. The Black Pearl being at the
pinnacle of evilness people consider the pirates on that ship to be the worst of mankind. The

Critical Analysis Of Art By Yasmin Reza
Art by Yasmin Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Luke Sutherland was
performed at the Warwick Campus on Friday, October 13 at 7:30 pm. Art is about the ambiguity of
modern art. The play Art raises many unsolved questions how it s viewed and treated in modern
time.
Art can hold many meanings. You may think it s art while other people would probably think it s
garbage. Art is set in Paris in the mid 1990 s in the main room of an apartment. the room is bland
and there s barely any furniture with only simple colors. We the audience are introduced to three
main characters throughout the play. The first characterwe re introduced to is Marcia, played by
Erin Archer next, we have Serge, who is played by Kayla Renee and lastly, we have Yvan who is
played by Clark Agostino.
The play Art tells a story about accepting what you believe is art. Art is inner, your definition of
what s beautiful can mean something else to someone else. What you see others cannot see. The
saying beauty is in the eyes of the beholder is heavily implied. No matter what way or angle you
have them look at it no one sees what you see. Each character is faced with their own inner
conflict. The biggest barrier is their friendship and power struggle that each character is trying to
impose on each other.
With every actor, there s always a star, that star happened to be Marcia played by Erin Archer she

This layer is also called the Workgroup layer.
6. Does this network need a core layer? What devices would operate at the core layer?
The core layer is considered the backbone of the network and includes the high end switches and
high speed cables such as fiber cables. This layer of the network does not route traffic at the LAN.
In addition, no packet manipulation is done by devices in this layer. Rather, this layer is concerned
with speed and ensures reliable delivery of packets.
7. Is redundancy required at any layer of this network? If it is, where and how would this
redundancy be added to the network? What device or devices would be used to make this network
redundant?
A goal of redundant topologies is to eliminate network down time caused by a single point of
failure. All networks need redundancy for enhanced reliability. Network reliability is achieved
through reliable equipment and network designs that are tolerant to failures and faults. Networks
should be designed to reconverge rapidly so that the fault is bypassed.
In a redundant mesh topology network devices are connected with many redundant
interconnections between network nodes. In a true mesh topology every node has a connection to
every other node in the network. A mesh network with redundant connections is an example of a
redundant topology. The level of redundancy can be measured by network connectivity.
On a redundantly connected network if a

Contradiction Between the Theory of Evolution and the Bible
Charles Darwin was a British scientist who founded the theory of evolution and changed the way
we think about the natural world. Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 and lived during the

terminated when he joined the five year expedition on the survey ship, the HMS Beagle, in 1831.
In the expedition, Darwin developed a theory and published a book call The Origin of Species.
This book was the beginning of what we know about evolution, and it was controversial. The book

that made it unlawful to teach evolution in any state funded school, so he ended up in prison.
John Scopes was just a believer of evolution, but his belief brought him inconvenience and
trouble, because evolution and Christianity were two extreme sides that were not able to make
peace and mediate. When Darwin died, he took back what he said about the theory of evolution.
He states, How I wish I had not expressed my theory of evolution as I have done, (Moore).
Darwin took his theory to his deathbed, because he was attacked by the church for developing the
theory of evolution. Although Darwin took his theory back, but he had made us wanting to figure
out whether evolution really occurred or not. To determine the validity of evolution, there are
different modern technologies now that are able to help us decide if evolution really occurred or
not. An example of this can be paleontology. Through paleontology, scientists discovered a famous
transitional form call Archaeopteryx. Archaeopteryx is able to provide evidence of an evolutionary
pathway from dinosaurs to birds. Using technologies, there are

Air Cargo Portal Services Brings
Question 1
Information systems have become a major part of the almost all industries including the air cargo
industry. Information systems have helped the air cargo industry remain competitive, provide
customers and other with an efficient and easy to use service, and has kept the industry up to date.
In 2003, Cargo Patrol Services (CPS) opened for business as the air cargo industry s first full service
Internet portal that provided the industry with an electronic booking and shipment management
system. Without this new system, the air cargo industry would have suffered, especially after the
September 11th terrorist attacks when investments in airline declined.
The purpose of the new information system was to implement a process that ... Show more content

Question 4
The level of project risk is influenced by project size, project structure, and the level of technical
expertise of the information systems staff and project team.
Technology level is low. The Unisys aircargo system was already used by two of the three carriers
(Air Canada, United, and Northwest), and Unisys also had the advantage of Web development and
integration expertise gained from other projects. Unisys also decided on an object oriented
approach to reuse existing modules from its other projects: key technologies such as a weblogic
server and a multitier architecture using J2EE.
Project structure is medium low. Unisys need to create a system that would work with the various
legacy systems and the differing procedures used by airlines. The site had to satisfy the
requirements of the three launch carriers and also make it easy for other carriers to adopt after the
portal went live.
Project size is large. The original broad design had to be broken down into detailed specifications,
which took three months and required the three carriers to set aside all of their competitive issues
and differences.

Of the following three questions, answer two of your choice.
1. As an editor for a newspaper favorable to Thomas Jefferson, you have been asked to write an
article explaining what is wrong with Alexander Hamilton s 1789 economic program. What
would you say? Because you are a good reporter, you have thoroughly researched the matter.
Your answer must deal with all of the major aspects of Hamilton s proposals on the National
Bank (Links to an external site.), National Debt (Links to an external site.), and Manufactures

deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent

Emotions In Renaissance Music
Throughout history, emotions have played a big part in contributing to society. Emotions whether
they have been happy, angry, fear or even joy, have also played a part in the type of art Humanity
has created, whether it be visual art, film, drama, or even music. These emotions are prevalent in
art. These emotions have also inspired artists to create what they intended to create. But there is one
such emotionthat has played an important role in what has inspired art, and that is Melancholy. This
type of emotion is sometimes associated with Renaissance music. Melancholy is usually
synonymous with gloom, misery, sadness, unhappiness, joyless, woe, lachrymose, and even
heavyhearted. Some of these words incorporate many of John Dowland s pieces; however... Show

Melancholy is not limited to songs however; instruments such as the lute, the violin, and even
the harpsichord can contain elements of melancholy. An example of this is, Lachrimae Pavan
which was composed by John Dowland as a lute piece. Lachrimae Pavan was composed in 1596,
and there is also the tear motif, and this is a common staple in music of the Renaissance that
would contain melancholy. The tear motif is not just limited to lute songs or voice accompanied
by lute; it is also featured in madrigals, and chansons, and many of John Dowland s pieces
contained elements of melancholy and the tear motif. On the subject of melancholy, it is quite
possible for the cure for melancholy is indeed melancholy itself according to Music in The
Renaissance (Freedman 2013 pg 106). Lastly, it is quite possible that melancholy played an
important part in Renaissance music. This paper will talk about John Dowland as an important
composer whose music contained elements of melancholy, it will also talk about the tear motif and
Lachrimae Pavane, flow my tears and how it relates to melancholy, how arguably the cure for
melancholy is melancholy itself, and it will argue on how melancholy is an important theme in

The Replacement Of A Single Tooth
Introduction:
The replacement of a single tooth lost due to dental caries or trauma can be challenging for a
clinician. Traditionally several options are indicated in order to restore the edentulous space
including implant/crown, fixed partial dentures (FPD) or removable partial denture (RPD).
However economic factors, occlusal disturbances, lack of adequate bone support or excessive
removal of healthy dental structure are some of the limiting factors in the traditional treatment
modalities.
One approach that is overlooked and may serve as a good treatment modality is the Fiber
Reinforced Composite Bridge (FRCB). FRCBs are minimally invasive and economic treatment
modalities that can be utilized to replace of a missing tooth and restore an edentulous space.
The ideal site for a conservative FRCB is an edentulous space spanning one to two teeth. Other
considerations include occlusion or the bite relation, periodontal status, oral hygiene, and the status
of abutment teeth.
It should be noted that this modality of treatment is the not the most ideal modaility of treatment
however, it does provide an alternative approach if the ideal modality (Implant/Crown, FPD, RPD)
is not accepted or acceptable. Patient accepting this treatment modality should be aware that there
is a risk of aspiration. Retention with FRCB cannot reach the level of FPDs; more conservative
preparations and bonded nature FRCBs are two reasons worth noting. Patients should exercise care

Essay on Qualitative and Quantitative Research
Qualitative and Quantitative study designs both can be beneficial in research design. They both
provide valuable options for researchers in the field. These techniques can either be used separately
in a research study or they can be combined to achieve maximum information. This paper will
define the terms qualitative and quantitative; describe the similarities and differences between each;
discuss how qualitative and/or quantitative researchdesigns or techniques could be used in the
evaluation of my proposed research; and discuss why linking analysis to study design is important.
Quantitative studies are primarily numbers based. They deal with large cohort groups as well as
analyze large amounts of data. A quantitative... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When both research designs are used together, more information can be gathered. Mixed
methodology uses the numerical portion of the quantitative study design in combination with the
descriptive aspect of the qualitative study. There are many similarities between these two designs,
which make them compatible with each other. Whilst quantitative research may be mostly used for
testing theory it can also be used for exploring an area and generating hypotheses and theory.
Similarly qualitative research can be used for testing hypotheses and theories even though it is
mostly used for theory generation (Hughes, 2006). Both of these designs may be similar with
testing theory, they are also similar in the tools that they use and how the data is analyzed.
Qualitative data often includes quantification (eg statements such as more than, less than, most as
well as specific numbers). Quantitative (ie questionnaire) approaches can collect qualitative data
through open ended questions (Hughes, 2006). These similarities are what make these two study
designs compatible for each other. There are also some differences between these study designs,
which may cause some problems for the inexperienced researcher. Quantitative research is
objective; qualitative research is subjective. Quantitative research seeks explanatory laws;
qualitative research aims at

Virginia Horn Project Essay
1.0 Summary Historic data analysis, 3D models, interpretations of geophysical data, prospecting
results and a mineral potential map of the Virginia Horn (VH) project are presented. Comparison
of data from the VH to analog gold hosting rocks in Canada suggest that future exploration should
focus on identifying Au bearing veins in the Midway sequence, within 300 meters of the Pike
River fault (PRF). Specifically, exploration drilling should be conducted in the buried area north of
the Jola and Sopp excavation pit, where the PRF is inferred to have experienced compressional
bending and a silicified/arsenopyrite rich metasediment (?) boulder has been discovered. A high
resolution aeromagnetic (or electromagnetic) survey would enhance a geologic interpretation of the
VH, but may not be necessary as currently available data justify further exploration in the high
potential area outlined in this report.
2.0 Introduction
The VH is located in northern MN, USA, approximately 60 miles north of Duluth and 3 miles
southeast of Virginia. It is named for the abrupt bend in the Proterozoic Biwabik iron formation and
subsequent horn shape of exposed Archean bedrock. Rocks in the VH are part of the southern
exposed margin of the Neoarchean Wawa... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the PFR is considered to be a 2nd order splay off the Fayal Fault (FF), most holes in the VH
were drilled outside the 300 meter buffer that is prospective for hosting significant gold deposits.
Although drill holes in the 2009 and 2010 campaigns did intercept significant Au mineralized zones
800+ meters from the PFR, currently available data suggest these mineralized zones are likely
small ore shoots that will not constitute a large (+1 Moz) and mineable

Wifi in Corporate Environments
Robby Miller
Mr. Carroll
NT1210 / Fri. Night
Wi Fi in the Corporate Environment Business is much different today than it has ever been. The
strategies incorporated in the success of a business can be quite complicated and requires more
than just a man or woman with a dream. Success in business is now reliant on the connectivity of
their business to their local area, as well as, the global market place. Wireless connectivity (Wi Fi)
in the corporate environment is making this possible and beyond possible as it improves. In this
paper we will see some pro s and con s of wireless connectivity in the corporate environment.
Corporations are looking to go wireless for many different reasons. These range from having less

This is a red flag and a green flag at the same time. If AT amp;T is charging for data and making
money, then the trend of provider s charging for data could take off and cause inflation of
wireless connectivity. The upside could be that user s jump ship and begin using other providers
instead of one or two major providers. AT amp;T charging for data is scary too, since it could
flag that they are reaching the limits of their bandwidth capabilities. It could be safe to say, AT
amp;T has just figured out a way to make more money without introducing new and innovative
technology. In conclusion, the use of wireless technology in the corporate environment is taking
off. It seems from the research I have done that companies are excited about the progress being
made in wireless connectivity. Wi Fi is the future for businesses. As more and more companies
have traveling employees and work at home employees the demand will grow for wireless
connectivity. Productive mobility is where the corporate environment has come and will continue
to go.

SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CASE STUDY

Samsung Electronics
Executive Summary
Recent quality related issues have put Samsung Electronics, one of the world s largest technology
companies at risk. These quality concerns, spiked through recent recalls and external complaints,
have generated a flow of bad news coming to the desk of quality director Kevin Sarni. The issues
most commonly found within the complaints related to display issues, customer service support,
faulty electric components, audio, and safety. Of the main issues, display and customer service
support appeared to be the most detrimental. Once the patterns and themes became visible,
Samsung and its quality director Kevin Sarni were challenged with immediately identifying root
causes. This was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Assuming that many of the display issues are caused by faulty components, such as the main board,
it is important to identify where in the process these faulty components are coming from whether it
be internal manufacturing processes or suppliers. Since suppliers happen to be at the beginning of
the supply chain it would be necessary to begin there. Sarni, along with cross functional teams from
Samsung must immediately schedule a visit to their main suppliers of components such as the
main board. Once the visits are scheduled, Sarni and the cross functional teams will conduct
extensive audits of the supplier s processes and systems. The audits will consist of detailed
examinations of the supplier s equipment, process capability, facilities, and personnel. Each supplier
they visit, Sarni along with another manager, will be responsible for grading each supplier. The
grading metrics should consist of defects per day, damage, flexibility, responsiveness, and
communication. Grades will be recorded on a supplier scorecard and then electronically
documented upon return to Samsung s office. Dependent on the findings, Sarni may be faced with
choosing another supplier, that is, one who is consistently able to meet design specifications.
Eventually, once a quality supplier is developed within Samsung s network of partners, Sarni must
direct significant effort in monitoring their performance. To monitor the supplier s performance
overtime, Sarni

Mage The Awakening Effie s Character
Effie is one of my favorite role playing characters I ve made for the game Mage: the Awakening.
Mage: the Awakening takes place in a darker version of the real world with supernatural
additions. Effie is a mage; a magic user capable of bending reality. I wanted a larger than life
character, while still making her very human, vulnerable, and flawed. She is a person destined for
great things, but she still thinks about mundane things like her next paycheck. We share similar
goals, even though the methods we use while pursuing our goals are different. Because Mage: the
Awakening is a horror game I made a character capable of bringing hope to her companions,
contrasting with the dark themes of the game. Effie is short, with freckles and long curly... Show

The primary focus of her powers are control over physical forces, and understanding of the spirits
of nature. She can manipulate energy, influencing electricity or dampening sounds, which ties
into her knowledge of physics. More impressive feats of this power are reducing gravity in an
area or igniting the air, bending the laws of physics to her will. Her spirit magic influences
beings that are essentially personifications of an idea. In Mage: the Awakening, everything has a
spirit, and different places hold different kinds of spirits. A school, for example, has spirits
representing knowledge, but also spirits representing friendship, stress, and dedication. She calls
on spirits to protect her, or share their knowledge about places the spirits have been. She could
control weaker spirits directly, making them act against their will, but she feels that doing so is
unethical. I didn t want her compromising her morals in the pursuit of more power, which is a
major theme in Mage: the Awakening. Effie represents hope for a light in the darkness, reminding
her friends that there is still good in the world, in spite of power hungry mages. She is a powerful
mage, but her magic isn t the only thing that makes her fun to play. The connections she makes
with other characters and how she interacts with the world are what bring her to life. She is the
heart of the group, providing a caring center for everyone, and

Negative Effects Of Hip Hop
While many rappers were able to make money on the new movement the majority of that money did
not go into fixing up and nourishing the black community. This is evident in the music videos and
song lyrics that brag about spending money on luxurious items, drugs, alcohol, and women instead
of things that actually bolster the community. Yes, it is both unrealistic and unfair to put hip hop on
a pedestal and assume that it would completely reform the economy of a community, but its
influence was and still is deeply rooted and powerful enough to have the ability to bring positive
changes to the black community in the United States. Hip hop has brought negative changes to the
community so it is definitely not far fetched to think that it has the ability to bring positive
changes. Hip Hop was a distraction from the real problems and focused in its early years on
partying, having fun, and acquiring material objects (). Hip Hop was essential a black
redefining of the American dream which is argued by Professor Damon Sajnani to be the denial
of socioeconomic stratification in the United States, (). Hip Hop took from the prevalent idea of
the American Dream that happiness [came] with success, and success is measured in material
acquisitions (DAMON). This idea is riddled with delusions as many black people ended up
spending lots of money on material objects such as expensive shoes but still lived the reality of
poverty. This can be observed today in many black neighborhoods

Given the sad tone of the story, there seems to be some emotionally tragic event that has affected
her deeply and has made her uneasy when returning to her original home. Sad events that include
mental hospitals, graveyards, and rejection surrounds her life and affects the way that she

assumption when she states, Paralyzed by the neurotic lassitude engendered by meeting one s

her past, but she has only now gained the strength to face her past. Her home and the fact that
she doesn t have the feeling of warmth and safety in her home has affected her personality so
much to the point that she starts to remind her aunts of their children who have died. I think that
this reflects the idea that she is probably dead inside because she doesn t have a place where she
feels completely comfortable in. The dust references throughout the story all suggest she isn t able

Therefore, insufficient knowledge and skills of cultural competency has continued to increase racial and ethnic inequalities in healthcare services especially for minority groups (Dunagan et al. 2013; Long, 2012). As Nurses interact with clients they provide care, education and advocacy at any point in need. • 3. Concordion Essay Concordion tests are written in HTML and then instrumented with special attributes that Concordion interprets to execute the test. Rather than forcing product owners to specify requirements in a specially structured language, Concordion lets you write them in normal language using paragraphs, tables and proper punctuation [7]. This makes the specifications much more natural to read and write, and helps everyone to understand and agree about what a feature is supposed to do. The HTML files are typically stored with the source code, which has the benefit that they can be under the same version control system as the rest of the code. Concordion enriches agile processes and has been successfully applied in industrial context. B. Cucumber It is a software tool that computer programmers use for testing other software. It runs automated acceptance tests written in a behavior driven development (BDD) style. Cucumber is written in the Ruby programming language [8]. Cucumber projects are available for other platforms beyond Ruby. Some use Ruby Cucumber with a bridge into the target language like cuke4php and cuke4lua. Others use the Gherkin parser but implement everything else in the target language. Cucumber allows the execution of feature documentation written in business facing text. Because software automatically tested by Cucumber, your specifications are always bang up to date. C. The Integration Of The Mdgs Into The Indonesia s National... 3.2.The NLTDP, NMTDP and the MDGs As a reflection of Indonesia s increased willingness to play a cooperative role in the international arena, the government is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of providing a systematic data to measure development progress. Although there are many instances where various international development programs are being incorporated into the national development plan, in this dissertation I present a case study on the integration of the MDGs into the Indonesia s national development plan as a specific example where the Indonesian government takes a proactive role in integrating an international development agenda into its national development plan. 3.2.1.Why MDGs? Aside from the MDGs being the first comprehensively outlined global development goals that were agreed by UN member states, the fact that they provide specific indicators illustrate that the MDGs are able to provide the initial frameworks for developing countries to achieve development objectives deemed as important by setting specific goals and targeted indicators which statutory countries have pledged to fulfil by the end of 2015. The multi dimensional nature of what consist of development as outlined in the MDGs will also enable us to incorporate a more holistic view of development, as opposed to the traditional interpretation of development that almost exclusively refers to economic progress. Furthermore, Indonesia was one of the 189 UN member state signees of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We as coaches have taken on a role of responsibility that means a lot to athletes, families and communities. Playing athletics of any sort will teach you many life lessons. But within any work force, you have to produce or make some form of progress. With that being said a major factor when it comes to coachingis, what do you value more? The development of your players or winning games to look good or satisfy some internal drive? Since I have been enrolled in graduate school and taking classes on how to become a better coach. This is an ideal topic when talking about coaching and what is valued more In the clash of coaching philosophies in youth soccer winning vs development they talk about how the majority of the time the pressure to win comes from the parents and coaches that have limited knowledge. They stated that focusing too much on winning will hurt younger athletes as they get older. In our culture today they will praise the winners and no one remembers the losers. The article ultimately sums up that the coach s main goal should be the development of their players and winning later. After reading this article I find it very helpful on how it pertains to the topic of this paper. The point of this research is to find the drive that a coach has. This article mainly pointed out younger children in the sport of soccer and the concepts could clearly be used for any sport. As time has progressed the legal and ethical responsibilities of a coach can be tied into their title and how it affects their position. Rich Engelhorn of Iowa State University touched on many ideas that a coach has to take into consideration. He states a coach s legal duties are being knowledgeable, providing a safe environment, adequate supervision of athletes, etc. The ethical responsibilities of coach are but not limited to, encouraging development, participation, and most importantly; the goal is to win, but to win the correct way. Never sacrifice character for the win. He then goes on to say A program should ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will examine the material that they distribute to the incoming class that pertains to etiquette and norms displayed on campus. Then I will engage in informal conversations ethnographically as a complete participant with students about their views and uses of the Bowdoin hello. I will also utilize my personal experiences from when I entered Bowdoin as a first year and I will attempt to breach the phenomenon to observe the outcome. The social location, which is Bowdoin s campus, will enable my ability to observe the phenomenon because it is exclusive to Bowdoin. However, my social location might constrain my ability in that reactions might be bias for or against the phenomenon depending on whether the person uses this custom or not. I believe this is the best method because it will enable me to see how this norm is introduced and manifested over time in the community. The Frankensteinmonster gains and exhibits humanity from his birth to his abandonment by the DeLacey family. In this journal, Frankenstein had meticulously described the process of the creation of the monster and Frankenstein s disgust with the monster. The monster likened his own predicament to Satan s. Yet the monster felt that while Satan had fellow fallen compatriots, the monster had no one, not even the support of his own creator. The monster saw himself as solitary and abhorred (Shelley 94). When the monster revealed himself to the old DeLacey, the monster felt hope that he might be accepted for who he was. When the DeLaceys returned home, their replies to the monster s appearance revealed their horror and inability to see past the surface features of the monster. While the company is financially sound analysts and investors worry about the company s capital structure decisions. Investors do not want to see that much cash on the books and worry that the current capital structure is not the most effective for the future. They prefer that BBBY change their capital structure by paying out excess cash and issuing debt. This could allow BBBY to improve their return on equity and raise earnings per share. Given the low interest rates available it seems like the perfect time for BBBY to add debt to its capital structure. Until now they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This represents a 7% increase in stock price. Further, the additional leverage and return of excess cash to shareholders will significantly increase ROE. If the market determines that an 80% debt capital structure is feasible for BBBY, then we will expect further capital gains as investors applaud shareholder friendly policies and re examine EPS estimates. However, if top line growth and same store sales growth continue to trend downward, investors may become skeptical of BBBY management s ability to continue generating over 30% EPS growth, and thus question the ability of the company to service its debt in the future. Aside from the two aforementioned proposals the company can raise its leverage in other ways. By conducting DuPont analysis and understanding operating leverage we see that purchasing fixed assets and decreasing stockholder s equity will raise the equity multiplier and the firm s operating leverage. In this instance we recommend against this approach as the firm already has a large amount of excess cash above what they require to fund new positive NPV projects and purchase new assets. Investors would rather see their capital returned to them in the form of share repurchases and dividends as it is evident by the company s cash stockpile that they can ... • 18. Defining Success In John Wooden s Pyramid Of Success John Wooden once said, success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best you are capable of becoming. This quotation is relevant to the question of how would you define success because success can be defined in many ways, depending on who you are asking. For you to have a better understanding, I will explain how success is defined in John Wooden s Pyramid of Success , next how success was defined in the movie Hoosiers, also how Bobby Plump saw success in his Milan team, and lastly how I have had success in my life time. In John Wooden s Pyramid of Success he gives all the characteristics that he thinks defines success. There is fifteen different characteristics, there are three of them that in my opinion are very important in success. The most important trait in my opinion is Competitive Greatness. John defines it as Being at your best when your best is needed. Enjoyment of a difficult challenge. I do not think I would define it that way, I would define it as trying to be the best you can and putting as much effort it takes to become the greatest at what you are doing. The next trait is Self Control, he defines it as practicing Self Control and keeping emotions under control. Having good judgement and common sense. I agree with his definition, if you do not agree with a call then do not yell at the refs, bite your tongue and go back to playing. Do not show negative emotions! If the other team sees that they can get under your skin than they will just keep doing it. Lastly and in my eyes the most important is Team Spirit. Team spirit is huge in my opinion, everyone on the team should have the same goal and that is to become and to play at the greatest of your ability. The only way to achieve that goal is to have everyone striving to do their best and want the best for the rest of their teammates. We all know that one guy on the team who could care less if they were there or does not try hard at practice. Or the one guy who always says, There is no way we can win this game, they are too good. So, what I am saying is that if someone has a big night and puts up 20 points then be excited for them. If a guy hits a walk off then go ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Going to Canada by Warren Cariou Through his creative non fiction piece Going to Canada , Warren Cariou proposes that our traditional view of Canada is superficial and fabricated from cover up stories; we need to look beneath the surface of central issues to construct a well rounded understanding. Cariou travels to Auschwitz and is quite intrigued by the warehouse called Canada, which is used to store stolen goods from prisoners. He questions how the Canada located in the internment camp got its name and what significance the name plays. Initial reflection upon the meaning of Canada suggests the prisoners named it as a place for freedom and solace. However, later evidence suggested that it was actually named by Nazi Commanders. There seemed to be no direct connection between the warehouse and the country until Cariou returned to Canada and visited several northern Aboriginal communities. Cariou emphasizes the significance of stories of First Nations as agents of remembering and forgetting; they show the theft and dehumanization that Aboriginals are subjected to. Through the numerous parallels, it became evident that there is a clear connection between the warehouse and the country. Cariou claims that as Canadians, our perspective is shaped from cover up stories and prevents us from seeing the connection that exists between the two. The corporate exploitation of Aboriginal communities and natural resources is analogous to the behavior of the Nazis during the holocaust. Through this piece, Cariou wishes to ... Germany was affected more than most due to sanctions and post war agreements. Adolf Hitler began his rise to power and began making promises to the citizens that were struggling. The deep crisis in Germany allowed Hitler to seize power in 1933. This investigation will examine how Germany s depressed economy affected the rise of Hitler in the early 1930s. Summary of Evidence After WWI ended, there were many changes for the Central powers, which consisted of Germany, France, the Ottoman Empire, Austria Hungary and Bulgaria. The victorious countries, United States, Great Britain and France, met up to write treaties to give the losing countries the punishment they deserved for starting such chaos. Many of the treaties signed, such as Treaty of Saint Germainen Laye, Treaty of Trianon, Treaty of Sevres and Treaty of Lausanne hurt the losing powers worse by taking away land that they had acquired earlier. Around ten months after the end of the Great War, Woodrow Wilson, then president of the United States, proposed his famous plan Fourteen Points, which focused on preventing war in the future... proposing a League of Nations to arbitrate further international disputes. An important relationship that is shown in the visual text Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), directed by Gore Verbinski was between two main characters, Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner. Their relationship was one of the most important in the film as it shows us how these two characters have changed their perspectives of the world and most importantly, towards each other. There are several examples of how their relationship changes throughout. At the beginning of the film, Jack considers Will as a lame commoner and Will was quite stereotypical about Jack being a pirate . Their animosity and hatred were quite mutual given their respective backgrounds. As the movie progresses, this relationship is more about one s own benefits. They realise and understand each other s strengths and weaknesses well and use each other selfishly. Towards the end, this selfish attitude matures into friendship. At the beginning of the film, Jack and Will had completely different opinions about each other. Jack Sparrow, a clever, cunning and calculated man saw Will as a lay man and would find it hard to believe that they would become friends. Pirates in those days or even today are considered hard core criminals. Will being raised as a common man, irrespective of his past also think the same. Is redundancy required at any layer of this network? If it is, where and how would this redundancy be added to the network? What device or devices would be used to make this network redundant? A goal of redundant topologies is to eliminate network down time caused by a single point of failure. All networks need redundancy for enhanced reliability. Network reliability is achieved through reliable equipment and network designs that are tolerant to failures and faults. Networks should be designed to reconverge rapidly so that the fault is bypassed. In a redundant mesh topology network devices are connected with many redundant interconnections between network nodes. Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 and lived during the Industrial Revolution. As a child, Darwin initially planned to become a doctor, but his plan terminated when he joined the five year expedition on the survey ship, the HMS Beagle, in 1831. In the expedition, Darwin developed a theory and published a book call The Origin of Species. This book was the beginning of what we know about evolution, and it was controversial. John Scopes was just a believer of evolution, but his belief brought him inconvenience and trouble, because evolution and Christianity were two extreme sides that were not able to make peace and mediate. When Darwin died, he took back what he said about the theory of evolution. He states, How I wish I had not expressed my theory of evolution as I have done, (Moore). Traditionally several options are indicated in order to restore the edentulous space including implant/crown, fixed partial dentures (FPD) or removable partial denture (RPD). However economic factors, occlusal disturbances, lack of adequate bone support or excessive removal of healthy dental structure are some of the limiting factors in the traditional treatment modalities. One approach that is overlooked and may serve as a good treatment modality is the Fiber Reinforced Composite Bridge (FRCB). FRCBs are minimally invasive and economic treatment modalities that can be utilized to replace of a missing tooth and restore an edentulous space. The ideal site for a conservative FRCB is an edentulous space spanning one to two teeth. Other considerations include occlusion or the bite relation, periodontal status, oral hygiene, and the status of abutment teeth. It should be noted that this modality of treatment is the not the most ideal modaility of treatment however, it does provide an alternative approach if the ideal modality (Implant/Crown, FPD, RPD) is not accepted or acceptable.
