are not. It is about giving everyone the impression that everything is in order when
in reality everything is falling apart. Passing in this novel refers to the ability of a
person to be classified as one thing, normally a social group, while belonging to a
different group. Passing is usually done to gain class or acceptance by groups other
than one s own. The primary focus of the novel is on racial passing which is the
ability to look white and belong to a white group when in reality the person is an
African American in order to gain privileges that were unavailable to them.
Although racial passing is the main focus, another major theme in this novel is

member. When broken down by year the central features were stacked on top of

buffer will be placed around gang member locations to determine which drug

Method used in this study was analysis of archived data from community hospital
in Michigan from February 2007 june 2008. This project researched the use of call
light use rate and how the average response time would have impacted the fall rate,
and patient satisfaction rate during the hospital stay. Two medical units, one
surgical unit, one medical surgical combined unit participated in the study. This
study concluded that more call light use resulted in more response time and more
calls for assistance meant fewer falls and less fall related injuries. More response
time for calls also resulted in fewer falls and less injuries for the patient. This study
predicts that hourly or 2 hour rounds by nurses or patient care techs would reduce
patient call rates and fewer falls. This study draws the conclusion that by maintaining
or keeping the patient call rates above medium may result in lower fall rates and fall
related injuries on the clinical unit.

Other organic compounds that contain OH groups but are not alcohols are phenol
(C6H5OH) and acetic acid (CH3COOH). These compounds are not alcohols because
they are acidic. The term alcohol, then, is another representation of a type of

Phenols are aromatic compounds in which a hydroxide group is directly bonded to
an aromatic ring system. They are very weak acids, and like alcohols, form ethers
and esters. The main phenols are phenol itself, cresol, resorcinol, pyrogallol, and
picric acid.
Phenol itself (C6H5OH), also known as carbolic acid, is a white, hygroscopic
crystalline solid, isolable from coal tar, but made by acid hydrolysis of cumene
hydroperoxide, or by fusion of sodium benzenesulfonate with sodium hydroxide.
Formerly used as an antiseptic, phenol has more latterly been used to make bakelite
and other resins, plastics, dyes, detergents, and drugs. [4] [15]
The hydroxyl containing compounds used in the experiment were ethanol, n butyl
alcohol, sec butyl alcohol, tert butyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and benzyl alcohol.
