(Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a set of technical standards for e-learning software that allows courses to work across different learning management systems (LMS) similarly to how DVDs work across different DVD players. It defines how courses should be written so different LMS can understand the courses. This allows courses to be shared across different e-learning platforms and systems.
