winemaker to become a wine
connoisseur.
Therefore, Managers
do not need to become
quant jocks.
But they have to become
better consumers of data
They need to have
appreciation for quantitative
analysis and an ability to
communicate what the
numbers mean
There is need for business
people who can think
quantitatively
They have to make decisions
based on data and analysis
According to reports 1.5
million more data savvy
managers are needed to
take advantage of all the
data we generate.
Otherwise all the data which can be
used to make decisions goes wasted
Though there are managers,
efficient managers are need
to understand the data
INSIGHT
Do not let the results get in the way
of telling a good story with your
data
The job is not only just
to crunch the numbers,
but also to communicate
them
