IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing the previous lesson or
presenting the new lesson
The teacher will have an activity with regards to the
topic so that, the students will have an idea about the
topic. The activity is called a FILL ME OUT!
B. Establishing a purpose for the
Lesson
To analyze the musical elements of selected songs and
instrumental pieces heard and performed.
C. Presenting examples/instances of
the new lesson
Show some examples of pictures and videos of about the
music of east Asian countries.
D. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #1
The teacher will discuss the music of the different
countries of east Asia. (Japan, China and Korea)
E. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #2
The teacher will discuss the different traditional music of
east Asian countries. (Japan, China and Korea)
F. Developing Mastery The teacher will let the students to watch the video
presented and the students will analyze their musical
element in terms of tempo, scale, texture and time
signature.
G. Finding practical application of
concepts and skills in daily living
The teacher will let the students to answer the activity
called “TRY TO FILL ME OUT!”
H. Making generalizations and
abstractions about the lesson
The teacher will ask the students,
What have you learned?
Did you learn something new today?
V. EVALUATING LEARNING Based on the discussion about the Music of East Asian
countries, the teacher will let the students perform the
different music of east Asian countries.

Assign a homework task where students research and
read in advance about the Musical Instruments of East
Asia.
