This document discusses the potential for shifting goods transport in cities from motorized vehicles to cargo bikes, or "cyclelogistics". It notes that about 1 million trips are made daily in the average European city of 240,000 inhabitants, and that every second motorized trip related to goods transport could potentially be shifted to cargo bikes. Private logistics like shopping trips, of which 8 out of 10 are currently made by car, could also easily be shifted to cargo bikes. Cities that have embraced cyclelogistics, like Copenhagen and Graz, serve as examples, with the latter having over 70 cargo bikes despite a population of just 260,000. The document outlines strategies cities and other stakeholders can employ to promote cyclelogistics, such as
