 7 year Experience of working as a QA/QC Piping Inspector / Supervisor on domestic
and international projects of Saudi Electric Company mainly involved in providing
engineering and construction supervision services to Power Plant sectors to

2. Responsibilities:
 Coordinate with client for inspection activities issued RFI (Request for inspection)
for witness/hold point etc.
 Check up of MTC’s, Batch Certificates of received consumables at site, to ensure that all
welding consumables, gases, flux filler wires meet the code/specs requirements and are
in good condition prior to use.
 Preliminary Welding inspection activities like material traceability ,dimensional checking,
Orientation of piping components, fit up, pre-heat , root pass and hot pass, intermediate
Cleaning and heat requirement.
 Monitoring proper electrode and filler wire usage and proper distortion control.
 Monitoring during welding parameters like current ,voltage, travel speed ,Heat input,
Inter pass temperature etc. are being maintained within ranges specified in applicable
WPS..
 Witnessing Repair welding activities, assessment and review of Welder repair rate on
weekly or monthly basis as per project requirement, and maintaining welder continuity.
 Inspection and supervision of piping activities.
 Witnessing on Hydro test and Pneumatic test (shell and seat test) for various valves.
 Inspecting the incoming materials for damages, dimensions and corrosions. Ensure
satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of pipe, fittings and components.
 Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges and fittings.
 Inspection of prefabrication of piping spools in Fabrication shop as per approved
isometric drawing, Piping Inspection including Dimensional checks ,gasket, utility lines,
FRP pipe, valve orientation, flow direction, checking flange face ,pipe supports
installation ,pipe internal cleaning, Bolt torque , Steam tracing, Orientation and flush
grinding of orifice flanges.
 Test package preparation & verification, Line checking against drawings and P&ID
requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy of the piping system as per the code
and project standards .and incorporating the punch list with category “A & B” items.
 Ensure completion of category “A” punch list items prior to Pressure test. Check and
assure that all joints are exposed for examination; all valves are open during pressure
test, Check vents are open when filling and draining lines.
 Witness final Hydro & pneumatic pressure tests, including calibrated pressure gauges,
water test certificate .Verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the
specified length of time with no leakage.
 Ensure blinds are removed and correct gaskets are installed .Verify that control valve,
internals of check valves, Flow orifice, instruments and other piping components which
removed for the test are reinstated.
 Conducting and coordinating walk through for each completed piping system and
verification of closed punch items prior to mechanical completion acceptance.
 Verifying the released test packs for pressure test and checking the lines for any
missing activities before performing hydro test.
 Witnessing lay-up like air blowing, steam blowing, water, chemical, oil flushing& Leak
testing.
 Witnessing the hydro test activities as per procedure and making the corrective
actions for the client comments.

3.  Witnessing for primer and paint coating which is checked by Elco-meter (Dry Film &
Wet Film thickness).
 Preparing Sheet metal product design layout like 2D & 3D on AutoCAD.
 Scheduling and making production planning for the fabrication, erection and welding
of the structure.
 Review and maintaining records of Calibration certificates of Instruments, Welding
equipments, Personnel Certifications, Batch test Certificates for Consumables etc.
 Strict Adherence to safety requirements and regulations.
 Note the Corrosions/Paintings, pitting, welding defect etc.
 Maintaining of latest project specification, ITP’s, procedures and drawings.
 Coordinated and communicated with fabrication supervisor, fitters, welders and
inspection personnel.
 Coordinating with Third Party for field inspection.
 Co-coordinating with Certification body for document clearance.
 Monitoring & follow up of Quality documents as per ISO standards.
