Scope and purpose.
To conduct all tasks in the Front of House and Housekeeping areas to the standards laid down by
Namsagali gardens and conference centre, to maximise revenues and profits to agreed budgetary limits.
Duties
1. Greeting, checking in and allocating rooms promptly and courteously to guests.
2. Liaise with room attendants to confirm the state of rooms, weather they have been serviced and
maintained to the standards.
3. Making reservations correctly and courteously to control overbooking and to facilitate effective
communication.
4. Making effective liaison between reservations from front office to other departments like
housekeeping, kitchen and restaurant.
5. Assist in effective and speedy check-out facilities. and ensure that luggage is delivered to and

3. Ensuring sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other
established needs, be the food or equipment.
4. Taking orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute.
5. At all times to be aware of and practise good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which
does not adversely affect other customers and attending to customer complaints satisfactorily.
6. Following up leads by visiting prospective clients regularly, often enough to maintain their interest
but not too often to alienate them.
