Employment:
1995 – : Senior Application Specialist Danisco / DuPont,Brabrand
In 1995 I was employed by Danisco A/S as application manager in enzymes for fruit juice
industry. Here I worked in technical sales of enzymes and optimization of processes in the
juice industry for Danisco's customers. The work was so successful that one of our
competitors offered to buy the whole Danisco's production of enzymes, which unfortunately
left me with a job no longer needed.
I was transferred to the "Fruit Group" where I worked with the fruit industry. At the same
time, I was involved in the development of a new series of special pectin for the
confectionery industry.
When the Confectionery Group was established I joined, and since 1999 I have worked in
this area. My work is mainly the development of new concepts for the confectionery
industry, technical support to Danisco's / DuPont’s sale force, agents and customers
through seminars, technical meetings and trials, both in pilot scale (away and at home) and
in production.
I have experience with the interactions between ingredients, equipment and products. I
have been the project leader in the development of our concepts "Better for You Fruit
Snack", “Texture Differentiation” and “Taste and Texture” for commercial campaigns, and I
have experience in using the cooking extruder for creating a liquorice robe with a filling.
Most recently I have been the main driving force in developing and implementing the
carrageenan for confectionery in close cooperation with customers in Ukraine and Russia
and German equipment suppliers with high awareness on the commercial aspects. The
project was a great commercial success.
During my stay in the US and China and in close cooperation with customers and
equipment suppliers to the confectionery industry, I have established good contacts both
locally and internationally.
I have especially travelled in North America, Eastern Europe, and Russia and some in the
Middle East, North Africa and South East Asia. I am use to work independently and in
teams across countries and continents.
I am a skilled presenter with presentations to customers, at Danisco / DuPont seminars in
Denmark and abroad and at international confectionery events at several occasions, both in
English and German.
The confectionery team was terminated in January 2016 as a part of the restructuring of
DuPont prior to the merger with Dow Chemicals, and I am looking for new opportunities.

1990 – : Censorship,South Danish University (SDU)
For more than 25 years I have worked as censor at SDU at the education of engineers in
technical biochemistry and food technology, both master thesis, bachelor thesis and regular
each year at courses with project examinations. Working with the student projects keeps me
aware of the new generation of engineers.
1993 – 1995: Sales Manager, Orana,Rynkeby
In almost two years I worked as Sales Manager for Orana responsible for development and
sale of fruit preparations and fruit compounds to dairy and beverage industry in South East
Asia.
It was an independent work based on the development of products in the laboratory in
Denmark and presentation of products to customers. I travelled 80 days per year in
countries from India to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore to
Philippines.
For a period, and in cooperation with other suppliers, I was involved in implementing a
yogurt production in Vietnam's leading dairy.
1982 – 1993: R&D Engineer, BiotechnologyInstitute,Kolding
From immediately after my MSc and in 11 years I worked at the Biotechnology Institute with
applied research, development, service and advice in close contact with customers in the
food industry. Here I obtained my first skills in the development of technology, processes
and products from idea stage to production.
I had the responsibility for development of fresh salad products, fermented vegetables and
the creation and execution of a control of the Danish fruit juice industry. In this period I
developed a vast knowledge of fruit and vegetables.
